  • A friend's uncle paid to travel to an elite American hospital to get stem cell therapy instead of a knee replacement. While he did pay for the flight and the living expenses, he did not pay for the treatment because it was experimental. So yeah, it does cost a lot, but not because of the treatment itself. Of course, this coukd change when patents are applied and capitalism takes over the therapy.

  • This is what I did, from NixOS to Debian. I managed to end up with a dependency conflict in less than a day, precisely the problem that NixOS attempts to solve. I came back to NixOS and accepted my fate: asking for help from the NixOS community.

  • Pro tip: think of a bracket as an S and a 2 on top of each other. Which one is on top of which will depend on whether you're writing an opening bracket or a closing bracket. Just try it out and you'll see which is which.

After you try it out, as another comment pointed out, think of your 2s and Ss as surrounding a circle. That way your traces get closer to the actual shape.

  • Thanks for the recommendations. Unfortunately, Signal is centralized and WireMin is closed source. Session does look interesting! Edit: Session actually has some security and ethical problems… Matrix may not have the equivalent to onion routing, but so far it seems like the best option

  • Thanks for the reply :P I do have an idea of what Activity Pub attempts to do, and I would've been very surprised if it turned out that it's well-suited for an end-to-end encrypted chat protocol
