I might be missreading this, but the way I'm using Lemmy is subscribed and ordered by new, making mega threads like this might mean I don't see news about big developments. One of the reasons I used to use Reddit was to keep up-to-date with the news.
I'm happy if this is just to group speculation and conversation.
But each actually news worthy event should get its own thread.
