So you believe that everyone is already decided?

The election is won or lost in the middle, not red or blue. It is the undecided and the ones considering voting who really matters.

We tend to be the engaged voters who know what we are going to do with certainty. But, you can judge the polls by looking in the mirror.

There is something seriously wrong with American politics. Trump is evil - not a word I throw around lightly - but this shooting has all but guaranteed a win for him in November.

He's clinched it. He's going to be King.

I thought that the Supremes said that Presidents were immune?

Disagree as irrelevant whether either party dies in a couple of years.

The story is whether Biden can get elected? Maga will vote Maga. Dem will vote Dem. The real battle is in the margins - the undecided and the unsure if it is even worth turning out. Complaining about Trump is like complaining about diarrhoea. Either you do something about it or just accept the shitty duds.

Biden has to either really convince the electorate that he has it together in a aggressive way. He has to demonstrate strongly that he can take the criminal blowhard down, or step aside and let someone who can step up do the job.

The stakes are incredibly important. Yet, people are still focused on Trump's lying. A skill he mastered that is unchanged and unchanging for more than 60 years.

No argument. It's not a whataboutism question. Trump is also old, obviously. But he is set to win and the Dems who put a candidate in place is going to lose. I'm not trying to make Trump's position better. The GOP want to put an old insane candidate in place that's on them. Why would the Dems do the same thing - and lose because of it is the mystery.

We already know that Trump is worse. The thing is, Biden can't beat him. The election is headed in Trump's direction because the better candidate looks old and feeble.

First of all, Trump is a dick and may he rot in hell.

That out of the way, this is yet another article yelling at us to disbelieve our own eyes and not recognise an old man struggling. People who DON'T want Trump are watching the election toppling over the edge and are helpless to effect an outcome.

It's not about the pundits wanting Biden out, it's about the pundits demanding that everything is under control when it is obvious that it isn't.

As an outsider, out of a US population of 333 million people - these two are the guys battling it out to be your leader?

You're right. The real question is why no-one cares?

Whether it's a good idea, or a bad idea, I have no idea.

But I suspect that it's too late now. That decision should have been made 5-6 years ago.

It is universal in France. Sometimes you can stand in the street and see four or five flashing away in your view. I kinda like them, don't have them in my country.

What exactly is the risk when considering the very real danger the court is doing to the country? Tolerating intolerance will only take the country in one direction.

They could be subpoenaed into a house select committee to undergo questioning explaining their actions . It would at least be a bold move and have them try and explain their reasoning to an equal institution under the republic?

There is no magic bullet, but you need to return some heat or else go under without a fight. It would also completely unhinge the conservative forces hell bent on a dictatorship.

They cannot currently cancel state charges, but the GOP is trying to change that. It is one of a raft of measures underway. Some are truely frightening, such as using Red State National Guard troops against non-compliant Blue States. Check out Project 2025 - the Republicans are even trying to hide their planned dictatorship.

Unfortunately they strongly signalled this move in the oral questioning bit. It was pretty much expected. Now bonking a porn star will become classed as an official act.

There's move afoot by the GOP to get any state charges against the president to be elevated to the Federal court.

Guess who can pardon himself or have federal charges dropped?

The constitution is decided by the Supreme Court in the end. The American system of government makes the selection of justices political appointees for life. That is why you have Republican and Democrat justices. Political. So the constitution gets bent into any political shape according to power possession.

Don't for a second believe that the United States can't sleepwalk into a dictatorship. People are already describing Jan 6 as an ordinary tourist visit. What will it take for the public to see the danger with their own eyes.

I think that it's Project 2025, but everything else you described is spot on.
