Yeah but I've learnt to do a better safe than sorry version, as it has to take quite the force when a ~5,5kg cat like Koda jumps. In my old apartment I had shitty walls and I used a different technique to mount those posts so they became loose over time until I used heavy duty dowels. To avoid this, I now screw a board to the wall (with 6 normal dowels and use 1 heavy duty screw plus two normal screws from the backside to mount the posts to the board). Also, I prefer using 1cm thick Sisal over carpet as this lasts way longer.
So a classic Netflix thing then? One very successful season, then without anybody knowing why, just cancelled.
There even was a plot twist. Franka was so afraid of Miez that she didn't go around her to the toilet. Now she somehow figured out that Miez is actually quite afraid of her and that she's the boss... A little too late for my parents' old couch but still a good twist.
Yeah it is a bit tricky as my parents also own a cat called Franka. Franka and Miez more or less get along, they both fear each other. It's weird but for a few days is OK. Franka and Koda don't get along at all.
Also, I first tried to find a new home for Miez but that didn't work out in the long run before then coming to the current arrangement with my friends family. I had to keep Koda and Lilly together as Lilly has nervous issues and Koda totally is her emotional support cat. It's adorable and fun to see them playing together, as he's double her size and they both like playing rough. He doesn't allow me to watch though for whatever reason, but I know his weird let's play sound/meow and then they rush through the whole place together. He used to do this with Miez as well but she can't keep up with him anymore due to her asthma. That's the reason I took in Lilly actually, so that he could have a playmate again. However Miez was still very stressed out as now the both of them chased her.
Yeah I'm an SW engineer and my job is 30% coding max. Equal part is requirements engineering (so translate sys reqs to sw reqs, ensure traceability and such), static code analysis and dev tests plus 10% change management. The last part is the most interesting part as this includes analysis of feasabilty, risk and impact assessment as well as proposing/reviewing sys reqs for new or existing features. Glad I'm not a sys dev though as they don't get to code at all.
Thanks. I do love woodworking very much so I always have some project going on. The acoustics in my living room suck (echoing due to really high ceiling), so I put in the shelfs which I milled to fit light strips.
Sorry for potato quality, it's really hard getting a good pic up there without the ladder
I now managed to make it all accessible for my cat(s), which wasn't trivial as in the left corner there's the chimney so I couldn't drill there.
My previous project was this cat tree (which I built as a parting gift for Koda and Lilly)
The cat was dangerously close to being electrocuted, so I guess inciting panic was avoided on purpose.
