  • We always have had cats that let me belly rub them, but not as much by others like Miez and her brother Koda do. Guess I'm something like a cat whisperer. They are my first cats that I've risen from an early age though.

  • Nah she's a maine coon mixed breed, that's her normal fur. She is cautiously brave. Maybe because she has been watching it through the terrace doors so she knows it doesn't do any sudden movements

  • Yeah Miez is really sensible to changes in my daily schedule. I mean she can cope with me not being there when I can't work from home, but she really doesn't like when I'm home and disturb her routines by packing and moving furniture. I make room for her as much as possible like keeping the cat tree on the balcony up. This helps her a lot as she can lie there and watch me through the closed door (there are two others) so she doesn't hear the noise. I make a point in taking my time for her in the evening and only watch TV with headphones so it's quiet for her.

  • There's a reason why I explicitly warned my buddy of Koda's temper before he decided to take Koda in. He just recently confirmed - once again - how right I was warning him.

Thanks for your feedback. I make a point to sound native/genuine in both languages, which is why I first write in english and then in German. I don't want to do word by word translations but rather train my english skills plus give people the opportunity to see how the meaning of a sentence would best translate.

  • My first though was sunken cost phallacy, but then again maybe it's in the nature of authority-obiding jobs to attract people who, well, would love to live in an authoritarian regime. Life is simple and structured this way.

  • Don't really like it though as it is a bs expression used by employers to discredit workers that do exactly what they were employed for and don't gift the employer their free time. You know, just like most employers don't do anything but to pay you the bare minimum that they can get away with all while expecting you to hand out gifts to them.

When Koda visits me, his favourite spot is the guest room window as there are a lot of birds in the bushes and trees

I'm sitting Lilly (and Koda) over the holidays. Lilly is doing the purrkour with such ease already.
