One of the few things I use Siri for is set timers when cooking. I have a very basic iWatch and it’s just a fumble fest for my clumsy ass trying to do anything with my giant hands. So I yell at it instead. Works oddly well. But yeah, would be nice if it wasn’t so clunky and obviously this isn’t always feasible in a loud kitchen.
Can confirm. Used it early on (around Suse 7.3) and it took ages to compile and was bloated and buggy as heck. I switched to WindowMaker and never really looked back. Recently gave it a whirl on steamdeck and was pretty shocked at how polished and nice it is. If you haven’t given it a fair shake recently, you might be surprised.
Friend's ROG fried its SD card reader. They have some serious heat dissipation issues. The other Windows-running units he's tried have had myriad flaws: defective keyboards, poor sound, buggy performance, etc. They seem rushed. Most have sent replacement parts at least without a hassle...
I used to think this until I helped out on a robotics site. Some people are absolutely hopeless at soldering even after tons of practice. It is what it is.
My friend has a Windows partition for it. Set it up day one. Works fine. Would be nice to have it native. I'm not running Windows just to play it myself.
