I’m jealous if you haven’t seen it, amazing experience, I really recommend you check it out.
My wife hates action movies but loves this one, always cries at the end. Very deep exploration of some (flawed) characters and sad life stories, for both policemen and criminals - the realistic action scenes and 90s LA are just the cool backdrop.
Yes, absolutely mind blowing movie and scene, especially if you have a chance to catch it on the big screen.
The reason for the great sound (if I remember correctly) is the use of blanks, instead of lazy post-editing visuals and sound effects (like in most movies). And also the depth of characters, the acting and the cinematography all come together into this amazing film.
Ok, so this might be controversial, but in these situations I definitely think the people that drove him to this situation should be investigated (and if needed, held accountable) by the police.
We put this enormous personal responsibility on everybody, that they should be able to manage anything that life throws at them, and give a free pass to bullies to hurt and destroy others, instead of realizing some people have more fragile souls and less resilience. We don’t need to turn our lives upside down to protect them, but at least we could make sure you can’t go around hurting them without repercussions.
If we want to treat mental health as seriously as physical health, then why is this accepted? A seemingly big hearted person, driven to suicide by the organizational politics of a few more savvy individuals. How is this any different, then the strong taking something from the weak, or pushing them off a cliff?
Exactly. If they weren’t manufacturing and selling plastic trash, people wouldn’t buy it. I try to limit my plastic use, and recycle what I use, but that is not enough.
Single use plastics should be banned fully, coke and other companies could sell their stuff in glass or harder, reusable plastic.
I also don’t understand it. If the topic is interesting and important enough, write an article about it, happy to read it. No need to add an unnecessary layer of a human presenting it - if that is needed for anybody to listen, then the topic is not worth our time
You need to report this to your local data protection authority (or similar). They didn’t carry out your deletion request, so they would most likely be fined (at least that happens often in my country).
Housing is a basic human need, it shouldn’t be allowed to be only an investment. With the other items, you can just say “so don’t buy it”, which is not possible with housing, you have to pay for it, even of you wouldn’t like to.
Exactly. It’s like a vending machine, you throw in money, and dead Russian soldiers fall out from the bottom. All without endangering the lives of NATO soldiers. How many cold war US presidents would dream of this?
I am in no way minimizing the sacrifice and suffering of the Ukrainian people, but that is happening with or without Western support - the difference is the outcome, if we give them enough weapons, they can win and end the war.
I e.g. some EU airports, you have separate lines for passport check by an officer, and lines for passport & face scan machines. This way you can choose which one to use, when you enter/exit the EU.
Yes, Russia and China is fighting a war against the West, and we are standing with our pants down. No need to start shooting, but their actions should be met with equal force (eg. make it a similar hurdle for Chinese business to operate in EU, than it is for us to do business in China). And for fuck’s sake, ban all Russian propaganda and punish domestic supporters, as it’s affecting our politics.
I played Cyberpunk on launch, sold my disc after a few days, and refused to touch it again since. If a game is marketed as a fully finished game, I’m not interested in a barely running early access version. I understand they fixed most things since, but I don’t care, have plenty of other things to play. As long as gamers keep continuing to encourage this behaviour, it will keep hapoening and getting worse.
Yeah, I was just too lazy to edit these together, might try later. What is the exact name of the backpack?
Edit: somebody already got inspired to do it https://programming.dev/post/22510486
