  • How many acres of land though? This could just be a hunting cabin for all we know.

  • Soap

    Jump
  • Sorry, I just can't contain myself around forklift certified personnel.

  • I have ADHD, I huh literally everything if I'm not paying attention to you.

  • I'm so glad that I subscribed to netflixs DVD rental service. I would get stuff in the mail, rip the disks with handbrake, and send back. Repeat. Torrents where a no go with a 5gb a month satellite ISP.

  • Lol no, I drive a 2011 GMC Serria 2500HD in rural Michigan, USA and my truck would have no problem going up that. In fact my driveway goes up a hill that is far taller than the one shown and most of the time I don't even have to turn on 4 wheel drive. I don't even have snow tires as my all terrains work just fine (as a former autotech I do highly recommend snow tires though). For the weight distribution, yes, but that's also why we throw weight in the bed over the rear axle which solves that real easy.

The problem with the cyber truck is it was designed by people who don't use trucks for a techbro demographic who don't need trucks.

  • Looks like a British version of bliss from Windows XP.

  • We need to normalize wizard attire in day to day operations. Like someone can get an OSHA approved cowboy hard hat but no OSHA approved wizard hard hats exist.

  • For that price I can just spool up a vps and run a Searxng instance.

  • Go to therapist.

Therapist says it is what it is.

  • I'm xxl but I'm also built like a forklift. When I was younger I could throw rolls of vinyl flooring over my shoulder. I wish I took better care of my knees though.

  • The cloud is just someone else's computer. I thank fuck all the time that I bothered to learn Linux, that time sink has opened so many badass doorways like learning how to set up nextcloud or NFS or Samba and hosting my own cloud in my basement.

  • Yeah America fucking knows logistics. I worked at a non profit and our warehouse where we would store donations would become quite the mess during garage sale season. We had a squad of US Army Reserve logistical something or another who basically work in warehouses volunteer for the day so I went ahead and gave them the task of organizing and cleaning up the warehouse, a task I thought would take them a few hours. I go on my 30min lunch break and I come back to 5 dudes standing around and a warehouse so clean and organized that you could eat off the floor.

  • Hard disk drives will last even less. The lubrication will dry up and the disk will seize way before the 25 year mark.

Bluray is a fine back up media, I use them for stuff on my NAS that I cannot lose like precious pictures of family and friends. Not all of us live on am abandoned salt mine with perfect temperature and humidity for long term tape storage.

  • Yes! Most definitely! If you like those things Warhammer 40k has you covered. The amount of lore around Warhammer 40k is astronomical.

  • They replaced those in the like 2018 or 2019.

I kinda want one of those disks for my collection though... "This is my 5150, Vic 20, Nuclear Missile Launch Floppy, Thinkpad 300..." Some quality conversation starters I thinks.

  • People who are on an open source reddit alternative like open source software and an open internet, holy shit!

  • Good thing that's a goose or else I'd be terrified.
