  • You can tap on the points total or timestamp area as well. Aiming for the dot requires too much effort for me. 😅

  • Ahh.. okay, I'm seeing it now. It is an issue with all images and not specific types or posts. Basically when the image viewer rubberbands, it closes. So this occurs when you flick the image far enough to the top or bottom that would normally cause the page to scroll, it closes the image viewer. That's why this doesn't happen when you're zoomed in or flick the image to the sides. You don't need to pan at all for the issue to occur.

  • I tried turning off Swipe Gestures as well as Reverse Comment Interactions, since I normally have those on, and was able to bring up the comment options menu by tapping in the points total and timestamp area, that's next to the username.

  • What version are you on? I'm on the beta, 1.0.97, and it works fine. Also, if you could provide an example post with this issue, that would assist with determining the cause. I'm thinking maybe this could bewith specific file types?

  • I agree. Surely it'll be implemented in time. Both on Lemmy and Connect.

  • Your account is on Beehaw.org and they're currently defederated with Lemmy.world, that's why you're not able to view that instance on your account. I'm on Lemmy.ca and we're federated with Lemmy.world so it works fine for me. You'll have to use another account to view it through Connect, or view through your browser.

  • Okay, yeah, when I view that from your post history in Connect, I don't see your reply, even when viewing the whole thread. Shows up fine on mobile. Hopefully the issue will be fixed soon.

  • The S7 FE should be fine as well but I guess there's some sort of software or maybe hardware issue there. If you've tried restarting the device and the OS is up to date, then there's not much left. De-bloat tools are useful for Samsung devices and can help with overall performance but I'm not sure if that's available for the S7 FE.

  • According to the Chrome dev tool, I have 374 blocked communities but I haven't noticed crashing or severe performance issues with Connect. Also, I'm on a Pixel 6.

  • This looks like a Lemmy issue as it's also the case over different instances on mobile rather than just showing in Connect. I'm not sure what the cause is.

  • This particular comment couldn't be loaded because the instance it was posted on was not online. If you visit http://lemmy.fmhy.ml and notice it's online then you should be able to load that comment.

  • If you use Lemmy Connect, there's a block keyword feature that could hide some posts from specific news outlets, provided the poster included the outlet's name in the title; but not everyone does this. But yeah, we'll have to wait until it's added to Lemmy proper or one of the apps add the feature. Sync for Lemmy should be coming out soon(maybe by the end of the month?) and I think it'll have this feature as it was a part of their Reddit app.

  • The single tap to collapse/expand comments is through the "Reverse Comment Interactions" toggle in "Comment Customizations" in Settings.

  • Actually, I just noticed this being an intermittent issue on 1.0.83. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes it just takes time to clear the notification, after viewing the reply, without manually marking messages read.

  • I don't think this is an issue in the current builds. Are you on 1.0.73 or the 1.0.83 beta build?

  • This seems to be fixed in the current beta and I'm guessing a regular update will be out soon. Be aware that your settings may not be retained if you switch the beta, at least for me in an earlier build. Maybe that's fixed, but you may have to re-add things like user notes and blocked instances.

EDIT: Actually it's still an intermittent issue in 1.0.83.

  • The current 1.0.82 beta hasn't changed this; so that will go to a user page and doesn't take the ! mark into account. I presume it'll fixed in a later update.

  • This was fixed in one of the beta versions so you may want to visit the Google Play page for Connect and join the beta to check it out. Be advised that when I initially joined the beta, settings weren't carried over, so you may end up having to add things like user notes and blocked instances again. Not sure if that was fixed yet.

  • I like to browse All as well and haven't noticed that bot. If the issue is just with a single account, I think defederation seems unnecessary. Could you provide more information on the benefit for defederation versus banning the bot on Lemmy.ca? And I'm one of those people who prefer pledging defederation of Threads, so I support such a move depending on the situation.

EDIT: Correction, I checked my block list and that user account is in there. 😂
