I know that is true about incumbents, but I just don't understand why. All a voter has to do is look at their voting record. We don't need to listen to a fucking thing an incumbent says. Just look at the voting record. But voters can't even be fucked to do that.

I was happy to see anyone challenging Pelosi. I agree Chakrabarti is a much better choice. Not my district, but I'll cross my fingers that the voters do the right thing.

I don't have much hope in the voters. Last time a great challenger came along, Shahid Buttar in 2020, they still elected the geriatric choice. The DNC and Dem voters are the fucking worst. I mean, as long as you pretend the racist, fascist, ignorant, magats on the other side of the aisle don't exist.

I stopped enjoying Idiocracy as satire or humor about 10-15 years ago when I watched it the 3rd time.

Yes I have. I've worked to get progressives elected. I've walked precincts to encourage people to vote. I did that shit for decades. And shit just got worse. What I see, over and over, is fuckers bitching about 2 choices who never even bothered to vote in the primaries, you know, when you usually actually have a choice. Complaints about 2 party system, first past the post, etc. are absolutely legitimate, but it comes down to the fact that these people are elected. So yes, I am blaming the voters. A little less than 50% of the stupid fuckers still think shit-for-brains trump is doing a great job.

Farting. I had a teacher who would send kids to the nurse for farting. So, of course, we'd fart as loud as possible and blame it on someone around us. You know, whip your head to the side and say,"Damn, Chris!" They usually got sent to the nurse. This was at least 2-3 times a week. I got blamed enough times that she upped the seriousness and sent me to the principal. Fair enough, I mean, I had gotten more kids sent to the nurse than they got me, and the principal just sort of rolled his eyes and sent me back to class. 7th grade.

Most news sources use AP, but sensationalize the shit out of the stories. I agree with you, AP is fine. Not perfect, but what source is, but respectable.

A couple decades ago I included that in my Senior English class. I was able to make a lot of connections to the then political landscape. Now I'd imagine it's like watching Idiocracy.

Very weird. I can't see MrKaplan's post unless I logout, but he isn't in my blocklist. Maybe he's blocking me? I don't really know how the blocks work. Weird, but not a big deal.

I'm over 200 blocked now. It would be nice to have that site maintenance idea working to clear out my list. I'll have to remember when I hit the limit.

It only sucks compared to freezer on top. For utility. I go in the fridge way, way more than the freezer. Bottom freezer that pulls out is the best. Subjectively.
