Sorry for the delay in response! I didn't see the comment notification earlier.

I don't think we're doing anything with Putin.

Combat Liberalism reads, to me, like it's about interpersonal relations. Putin is not someone I personally know and interact with.

I would rather Russia win than Ukraine in the current unfortunate conflict, because I want to see the death of NATO in my life. It seems possible here. It seems to me like Russia would've rather had a working Minsk II agreement than the current war - NATO and the Nazi coup in Ukraine made that untenable. I have critical support for Russia in the current conflict, but I don't care that much for Putin.

My support is also literally meaningless. If this was a cause I felt strongly about I'd be supporting in a material way - fighting or raising money or something. I'm not doing that.

On the word "fascism":

The western left’s use of the term fascism, is borderline white-supremacist at this point. Fascism was a form of colonialism that died by the 1940s, and is only allowed to be demonized in public discourse, because it was a form of colonialism directed also against white europeans. It was defeated, and Germany / Italy / Japan reverted to the more stable form of government for colonialism: bourgeois parliamentarism.

British, european, and now US colonizers were doing the exact same thing, and killing far more people for hundreds of years in the global south, yet you don’t hear ppl scared of their countries potentially “becoming british colonialists.” This is why you have new leftists terrified that the UK or US or europe “might turn fascist!!”, betraying that the atrocities propagated by those empires against the global south was and is completely acceptable.

I'm specifically trying to get to the meat of the argument without wasting a lot of time effort-posting primary source essays no one will read.

I think it's worthwhile to show the disparity between the liberal worship of polite debate and their actual actions.

Doesn't the word Nazi come from their name Nationalsozialist?
