  • Bluefin and all the Universal Blue spins are atomic, based on Fedora Kinoite and Silverblue. Atomic or immutable being the big difference from normal Fedora. The Ublue spins just add onto the base atmoic distros with extra compatibility mostly.

  • Good job. You can start off the new year with a breath of fresh air.

I finished my house privacy finally this week with the FLIRC TV remote to get rid of the OEM remote that had a microphone built in. It's programmable on Linux too which is awesome

  • Look into Batocera. It has Kodi and Emulation Station as the two halves of the OS. You can even install Steam games on it (check RetroGameCorps video). Get a USB IR receiver from Flirc. The one thing it won't support is WayDroid

  • I'd say put your RPi4 in a Flirc passive case and use Kodi via LibreElec.

The Argon One connects the fan control in a funky way so your OS must have some way to configure the fan controller. I know Batocera v41 has Kodi 21 built in and their wiki says how to get an ArgonOne working properly. You can then have it set to boot into Kodi and have retro emulation as a secondary option.
