I've never installed Mint, but I've had a patriot memory stick go bad, and the RMA process involved sending both sticks to Patriot. Never buying from that garbage company again...
For me, it was the lack of support for certain Wi-Fi cards. I had to pull an older Wi-Fi card out of an old Chromebook, because no flavor of Linux supported the card that came with the (Windows 11) laptop. And guess who has two thumbs and no Ethernet port...
Finally got it working, but at one point i was almost willing to have a USB tether to my phone, just so i wouldn't have to fight with windows anymore.
Edit: Just realized it said desktop, but my desktop also has Wi-Fi, i just haven't had the courage to switch fully from my Spectre Win 10 install...
The only "creation" I've tried to do is a cover letter for job hunting. If I needed something other than a resume, portfolio AND references, then I see nothing wrong with using one to do work that another ai is going to look at...
Just my $0.02
I'm in a red state and have spent my life holding my tongue when these people start spouting their bullshit.
I'm done being nice. Unfortunately, they are taking us all down with them, but you can bet your ass I'm going to be reminding them of that the entire time.
I'm also shoe-stringing it, I'm posting this from an extended stay hotel at $60 a day because my credit is shit. My biggest gift is my ability to read and take instructions, so watching the mouth breathing red hats getting laid off is a small, but sweet, consolidation to all this crap...
Bought a Blu-ray burner and "archive grade" disks for third location backups.
I made a list of files that is just a text document (3MB!) that sits on the root of the Blu-ray. There's probably a better way of doing that, but it works for me.
I'm imagining an LA noir style section involving the lasso of truth (?). And i haven't seen the movies, but watched reviews, and there seems there might need enough upgrade paths to ramp up the combat elements. Maybe she gets with Batman to upgrade her suit?
Hell, even a tomb raider style origin story might work, if they don't skimp on the writing team.
It also claimed that i was part of the beta program, which is probably how they back-doored it in, so make sure you leave the beta program to keep it from coming back.
Using dna to encode digital data has been shown to be stable, reliable and easily reproducible. And according to Wikipedia, there's a technique that can encode data at 1Mbps. Not lightning fast by any stretch, but it works!
Red letter media
I love Star Trek, but don't want to watch the modern Alex kurtzman garbage, so they take the bullet for me.
I'm also not a movie guy, so watching their reviews/analysis while playing Minecraft is more entertaining than the movies they talk about.
Best of the worst is them watching B and direct to video movies that i wouldn't otherwise know about.
