I've used !ynab@lemmy.world for a while and love it. It's helped me get out and stay out of debt for 8 years now.

I’m just amazed at the level of detail and complexity of the game logic. Can’t wait for graphics to be at a place where you can build your city and then walk through it in highly-realistic VR, interact with civilians, and explore

When people post CSAM it affects everyone negatively. Not sure what those instances are doing to combat it, but lemm.ee has no image uploads temporarily because of it. You can still post images to comments and posts with an external image host like PostImage. But avatars and community icon uploads are not available at the moment

Last I was aware, there was malicious activity happening with image uploads (like spamming communities with illegal content), so image uploads were disabled until a good solution could be found to prevent that. This unfortunately means that profile photo uploads are disabled on this instance for now as well.

if a proposition was presented to drown a guy such as the one pictured above, in what manner might one ethically and swift-fully accomplish such a task? asking for a friend

For the record, I am interested in what you’re doing and you should definitely see me as a threat

Maybe the chat option doesn’t respect filters in the settings (like hiding bot accounts or your specified language)?

Carbon Ads does non-intrusive ads very well

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you’re making a generic assumption based on little to no evidence other than your own experience which is likely in no way directly related to or connected to the original commenter's life or behaviors.

If you’re simply doing cloud storage, a Raspberry Pi and SSDs will be just fine. If you’re wanting to run a bunch of processes all at once I’d recommend a Beelink or something a bit more dependable. I had Plex, HomeAssistant, AirPlay/Spotify, and NextCloud running on my rpi4 and performance was finicky. RAM was an issue and occasionally it would all crash. Raspberry Pi’s seem to do better with one or two tasks at a time in my experience. Can’t speak for the Raspberry Pi 5 though.

Only thing I can think of is getting notified for new videos from youtubers you’re subscribed to and the convenience of saving the play position when you don’t finish a video

Hopefully most of us understand that. I think for a lot of us it’s privacy/ethical issues with Google
