i knew what it was before clicking, and i have to say - as someone who thought that game would be perfect for me i was very disappointed
in the interest of not wanting to influence people's opinions by being the only and negative comment i'll spoiler my criticism, i still encourage folks to try it, and you can always refund it

disappointed mostly by how janky it felt and how unintuitive a lot of the UI was. NPCs would speak too fast, give no time to pick the choice you want, in conversation other npcs approach you and start talking, my hand was held constantly, i got so many bugs and just, it felt like a pre-release build of a game i'd love if it was fixed, but no that was it- i don't refund a lot of games but i came in expecting a great experience and the entire time i felt deep frustration

all my problems of suddenly waking up in the middle of the night to drink a whole glass of water and splash my face in the sink were solved when i got a humidifier

pointing out how someone's mother's last name is just their grandfather's last name ignores the point the person was trying to make in favour of going "well akschually".
a woman who feels more connected with her mother and prefers her last name over her father's last name has made that decision based on her emotions associated with her family relationships. And it was a choice she had to make against the default way surnames are given.
people rarely do things like going through lengthy legal processes to get the necessary paperwork to change your last name for shit and giggles. Instead of "well askchanelyling" people's choices, think a bit on why they made that particular choice, or you could also ask them

a game can be good and have predatory gambling mechanics inside of it. in fact making a game people want to play more of, enables those mechanics to work on a larger number of people
