RabbitMQ is more expensive on AWS than e.g. SNS/SQS. It's not a coincidence, you're trading lock-in for a cheaper price.
The increased complexity comes from the fact you will need some components which exist in either managed, but vendor lock-in form, or you need to spin them up / managed yourself.
It seems so strategically dumb for China to keep provoking India on these meaningless pieces of territory. This pushes India towards US.
It would be in China's strategic interest to keep completely shut and make no indication that it wants to change the status quo with India. I wonder if these fails are not deliberate on China's part, but a result of rogue (dumb) functionaries not being able to recognize a difference between internal Kool-Aid and the real China's position.
I'm not working for them out of goodwill either. It's a transaction where I'm selling my labor for money. But transactions require that both sides respect the law.
Well, Niemann has a history of cheating in online games (some with prizes). He admitted cheating in some games, and according to statistics cheated in some additional ones.
It's possible that Carlsen had this in the head when playing and that, in conjunction with a "ridiculous miracle" caused his reaction:
The report mentioned as peculiar but drew no conclusions from the statement made by Niemann in his post-game interview that it was inexplicable and a "ridiculous miracle" that he had the very day of the game, before the game, used a computer engine to analyze an unusual position that arose in his game against Carlsen.
I realize being a prodigy and a champion in a field this competitive can go to your head, but damn.
I think it would be fair to mention that Carlsen has never done anything like this before in his already long career.
I'm from Europe, I was taught on manual transmission and drove with it for 10 years. But I switched to automatic (actually not on purpose, I didn't notice the car I was buying had it), and now vastly prefer it.
This is a frustrating topic to discuss since on one hand there's not much conclusive evidence, but plenty of suggestive circumstantial evidence.
IF this is real, then the evidence is likely held by the governments and therefore any progress in public understanding would be driven by politics rather than science.
What makes me skeptical is how this would be kept secret world-wide. Ok, the US government conceivably could, but there are likely many countries which should have strong evidence in their hands, and it seems unlikely that they all could successfully coordinate on this for so long, across regime changes etc.
Why not, sounds nice. But I think it will remain a niche thing. Open source qualities are IMHO not that critically important for art, and I believe neither artists, nor art consumers care that much.
With all due respect, have you listened to people who go under the MRA label? Talked to the people on Reddit’s r/mensrights?
As far as I'm concerned (not the person you're reacting to), no, as I'm not very interested in MRA.
But I have discussed on /r/feminism a couple of years ago, and it was a surreal experience. I remember one particular discussion on whether saying things like "all men are rapists" is OK or not (the overwhelming opinion was YES). My experience with people labeling themselves "feminist" was that they are usually pretty extreme.
It's an interesting question. But I would be disappointed if the self-driving was basically killed by the legal questions, since it has a huge potential to save lives.
Wireless headphones have been my biggest tech revolution since the smartphone.
