  • Yes, I read this. Yes, that's bad, but it's one instance, ONE. Are you conveniently forgetting the hundreds of insane recalls that have happened from other car manufacturers in the past, many with equal or worse safety hazards? Yes, Tesla has issues, like many car manufacturers, but the unhinged vitriol directed at Tesla is just bizarre. I don’t know, maybe people have this latent guilt for driving ICEs, and attacking EV companies somehow alleviates this guilt? Perhaps it's envy (although the Model 3 is hardly an expensive car now). The fact that so many people did actually read the article and then went on to apply zero critical analysis of it is typical, though I suspect most people, once again, saw a headline 'Tesla bad' and upvoted."

  • Well buddy, you're in a two party system. You going to just give a literial fascist a chance because Biden wasn't able to wrangle the crazies on the other side to agree all the time?

that's cutting of your nose to spite your face in the worst way.

  • You wrote "Steve they took those inventions and made them more usable and appealing to the common man." I assume you had data to back up the male orientation? Which is why i asked. I mean you'd have said "common people" if you were referring to all humans i assume?

  • interesting, i find generally woman are more into apple products (or at least equally) in my experience. Does the data indeed show that only men found Apple products appealing at first or something?

  • i know many of you all just LOVE to hate on Tesla, it's like the shit flavor of he year for hating and no doubt Elon's shit fuckery is partially driving it, but honestly this is an absolutely classic Forbes piece of garbage. Firstly, it's a masterclass in selective bias - focusing solely on Tesla while barely whispering about Ram's near-similar accident rates. Classic move to sensationalize one brand over another. Then there's the U.S. only scope, which conveniently ignores the global context which could paint a vastly different picture. The article kicks off with a 'non-causal' disclaimer but then spends the rest of the time subtly linking Tesla's Autopilot to the high accident rate, without concrete evidence. It's a bit like saying 'no offense' before offending someone.

The Tesla recall is mentioned, sneakily implying a connection to the accident rate, despite the lack of direct correlation. The article is less about informing and more about crafting a narrative that fits a preconceived notion, all while skating on thin ice made of half-truths and strategic omissions.

  • same, i actually love the car it's been super reliable and it's fun to drive. But having Musk rats dirty image attached to it makes me cringe every time i look at it.

I'm just hoping he somehow leaves Tesla and we can wash it clean somehow.

But as it stands ill never buy another Tesla.

  • in Australia we have shops that sell American candy, im pretty sure it's illegal because many of those ingredients aren't allowed in Australian food HFCS being just one because you can't buy it in supermarkets.. i assume it's just not enforced. like illegal vapes that they also sell to children here.
