I personally use arch with i3 window manager. Before anyone says anything, no, this isn't another "I use arch btw" gag. It is fast, highly customisable, barebones and in my experience i3-wm works great with games which have fullscreen/windowing issues as it is easy to toggle between full screen and move windows about. For example, Gmod kept sticking in between my two monitors on Ubuntu and wouldn't let me move the window. With i3, you can move containers around with ease. Plus if your arch installation breaks it is almost always your fault. I also have better performance than when I was using Ubuntu.
Nah I shock myself on purpose so that I don't shock myself multiple times when taking off the dressing gown, plus I've realised that getting a shock through your foot doesn't hurt at all when compared to being shocked anywhere else.
I have a dressing gown that builds up static electricity very easily. The chair in my room has metal legs therefore when I walk past it I tap my foot on it to get rid of any electricity.
Someone in my family had this, reluctantly restarted the phone to make the message go away as I found it to be a very dodgy sounding message. Good to know that it won't do any long term damage to hit ignore the next time it pops up.
My good thank you so much, I FINALLY found that super annoying cheesy scream that sticks out like a sore thumb! I noticed it all the time and wondered why it is used so much. It ruins a good atmosphere by making me either frustrated or chuckle depending on the situation haha.
If this gets passed, we are on our way to VPNs etc. being considered illegal, everything being monitored like some other countries we know of... Fucking dictatorship move.
I recently switched to Eternity and I'm loving it so far. Only been using it a day, but I haven't run into any issues or anything to dislike.
I personally do not want to use any applications that have ads/tracking. I don't believe they have any place on Lemmy. I know already that I'm gonna be downvoted to oblivion, but I understand that these devs need to make money somehow. I just think it goes against the whole freer internet thing. Despite this, I don't really have a problem with them because they are contributing to the growth of Lemmy. And besides it is way better than using a centralised social media platform haha, so it will remain a personal choice.
Not even a day later, and I've switched to Eternity, because connects GUI was pretty ugly and upvotes/downvotes weren't saving/sticking. Haha. Loving it so far and the GUI is much nicer in my opinion.
Same, minus the dracula theme.
