  • I use piped/libretube, not an alternative but a different frontend, content is scraped from yt, so google cannot track you. The downside is that some instances can be unreliable and you can't like or comment. Subscriptions work but I don't think they contribute to a channel's sub count.

  • From my experience at least, some games are just like this, more often than not when using proton. I don't really have this issue that often after switching to i3wm. Can you switch to a different workspace? Is your game in fullscreen? It usually works better for me in windowed borderless. The benefit of using i3 is that you can run games in standard windowed mode, and let i3 fullscreen the application, or just switch workspace entirely. Hopefully this helps.

  • Interesting, I must admit, I never thought of digital data like this. I suppose a lot of history from our current era is either online or in a digital format. That in turn makes data important to preserve, although that part was obvious.
