  • The real answee is CI/CD DevOps pipelines.

What this means is that, when I as a developer push changes to my dev branch in my code repository, a bunch of scripts and stuff automatically test my code for a bunch of things, and if all of those tests pass, another script is run that pushes the code to my main branch and then compiles my app from the main code, and finally the last script pushes the compiled "artefact" out to the public (.exe's out on a webpage to download, a linux package gets pushed out to repos and to Flathub, Android apps get pushed to the Play and/or F-Droid stores, Apple stuff gets sent to an Apple computer and compiled and uploaded to the App store, etc.)

It streamlines the development process and makes life on the developer so, so much easier while making sure bugs also get fixed for users much quicker and the app stays more stable.

  • Does it also work on radeon?

  • Does it also work on radeon?

  • Does it also work on radeon?

  • Just switched to the beta on Arch and its definitely coming along. SDR content still looks washed out, but its a lot better on my monitor (LG 27UK600) than on windows.

  • A few games that could support it with the flick of a switch (or quite literally a checkbox) such as Rust and Fortnite do not, but EAC itself does support Linux and quite well. VRChat uses EAC and it runs just fine (thousands of hours with it working), just as one example.

At this point, if a game doesn't work on Linux with EAC, it is 100% pure unadulterated laziness on the company's part. They can literally enable it and say "We officially don't support Linux, don't ask us for help if you play on it."

  • I mean, they can start federating, nothing but time and money is stopping them most likely. Maybe you could drive an effort in their respective developer communities to get the ball rolling?

  • Have you physically been to california?

The place is a goddamn shithole. Sheetmetal lining the sides of their freeways. Their beach outhouses are literally filled to the rim with diarrhea, toilet paper, and garbage (not an exaggeration, it had a convex miniscus). Their drivers are some of the most aggressive I've ever had the displeasure of being around. 90% of the people there I interacted with are fake as fuck, and the only ones that weren't were people I knew who had moved there (who were also the only reason I went there to begin with).

I have driven the entire state. The only good part about California is the redwood forest, and i want to annex that into Oregon if it ever becomes an option.

I dont hate california for political reasons, everything else about it is what sucks.

  • It's not. (I have a pinephone)

  • Have you considered talking to your doctor about medically assisted death? /s

  • In my city, our power plants burn our trash! (That's renewable, right?)

  • Maybe we could connect many cars together on this system, and make it so the front or the back car is a special one thats more powerful and pulls the other cars behind or pushes the ones in front of it that carries all the passengers. For convenience, we could make nice loading and unloading areas.

  • I play AAA titles all the time on linux. Just not ones that come bundled with viruses and rootkitskernel-level invasive anticheat.

  • Waypipe could probably be used as a reference or incorporated as a library to make it work

  • Cool, so since you left linux why are you posting this here?

We all know windows is more compatible by design of the capitalism machine, we left it by choice for a reason.

  • I love how war-driven John Green is against tuberculosis

  • I thought json at first too but json does not use brackets around its keys like that or semicolons to end a key value pair, it uses commas. It also doesnt use equal signs for the value assignments, it uses colons.

  • Skip both, they both suck ass for polar opposite reasons.

  • Bro the AI neural networks have been shown to be building internal world models to be able to do what they do. How is that not thinking?

I am so sick of this anthrocentrism, as if we are special because we are humans. The computers are now doing the same mathematical processes our brains are doing. The LLMs can be compared to a small subsection of our brains. String enough neural network based AIs together with different tasks and youll get sentience.

Sentience isnt required for "thinking" to happen, thinking is one of the building blocks for sentience.
