I’ve built some of the more important tools already which allow me to pull the entire comment history of a user and perform significant sentiment analysis, key phrase extraction, etc… but some aspects aren’t reliable enough yet to be completely useful.

this sounds gross and very much like witch-hunting and stalking. yes, all comments are public but u coming up w a tool just to find someones and analyze and make judgement on them seems gross and out of line. think of how fasicst and controling that sounds. what if some republican was doing that and bragged about it? think about that

I'm just saying that I still see him posting plenty and he's not banned from everywhere. his profile @universalmonk@lemmy.dbzer0.com shows he's still very active & just posted yesterday & was responding to people in this thread before he got tempbanned here so he's still around and hes got a bunch fo anarchy and socialist communities

Yep! And it's about time Lemmy started to realize this. Because for the longest time, Lemmy was in denial about this. In fact, saying what you just said, would get you banned in this sub real quick just last year.

Some third party apps do track Lemmy downvotes though. And I've seen plenty of obnoxious posters bring up someones "downvote count" in conversation--just so they can try to win their argument.

We just need more people posing shit, the fact that one or two users can dominate my feed if they choose to is not ideal.

That's because so many on Lemmy would rather downvote than post anything.
