  • I don't think the problem lies in the ability to push far right agendas. They are not smart enough anyway to have ideas. The problem is that tea party religious zealots are really good at breaking down the government from doing what's supposed to do. They will probably freeze any meaningful change till the next election, so that they can later cry that the public sector is inefficient and useless. And their base will drink it like coolaid

  • My feeling is that this "betrayed" part of Muslim is the socially conservative one that voted left because the right was racists and pro Israel. But if the left is pro Israel as well, then they might as well vote right to get conservative (pro life, misogynistic) policies forward

  • Is also incredibly subjective. What's comfortable for one person might not be for another. I'm pretty sure an Inuit and a Ghanan have pretty different ideas of what's cold or hot. Same for Floridan and Minnesotan speaking of the US

  • Just finished Hogwarts yesterday for the first time. I absolutely love the world building, but I found the story a bit lacking. In my mind I ended up siding with Ranrok, in his quest to free the goblins, Sebastian (Solomon was an asshole thorough and through), and the ending was pretty vanilla. Also the whole idea in the ending of keeping the ancient power secret makes no sense: the same implications could be made100% for normal magic
