  • Plus steam input, remote play, play together, trophies, hell there's a whole API for you to use to make your game multiplayer and have it integrate with steam friends easily. So much built in for devs lives to be easier.

Just check out steam works. There's so much for developers

  • Been playing the hell out of Haste.

I love endless runners and this does have an endless mode, but the main story and levels I'm loving more than I thought I would. It's an amazing game. I came in with low expectations and was blown away

  • Oh no a paid, proprietary, piece of shit software does something shitty. Who could've ever saw this coming?!

I've said it for years anytime anyone mentioned running a Plex server. As soon as you install that on your server or your homelab it's no longer your server. Proprietary software is malware

  • Yeah and I actually say that to people all the time. But you know it's bad when battlebit is using 12GB of ram. That game itself is only 2GB.

And it's not just games and electron apps. Every peice of software now-a-days is so huge

  • Yeah no not at all. SteamOS is full-fledged a Linux distro. That actually uses all the tools and software a normal Linux distro would use. It runs all the applications and binaries you would expect Linux to run.

    Android is so completely different

  • Browsing and gaming. Discord and Spotify are always open and I've noticed almost every update they use another 30-40MB. Not much but discord literally went from using 150ish MB to 400-500MB on first start up. After a couple hours of being open it'll use up to 2GB of RAM. Software is getting worse and worse with memory management and games are getting ridiculous too

  • Not at all anymore. Just please use your distros repositories.

I told my friend to just use the package manager but he was dead set on downloading the drivers from Nvidia's website and installing them manually. Then complained how hard it was.

  • I've been boycotting Microsoft for years. They've done so much in the past and people finally are doing it. I'm glad they are but this could have been avoided if everyone boycotted them earlier. Everyone that has bought an Xbox and gave them money aided them in genocide.
