This means all governments around the world should impose similar laws so Facebook / Google will finally fxxking pay the news organisations they helped destroyed.
There are a few points I feel is pretty forced.
Okay there is an hostage situation happening right now so I get it. They wanted to help.
But after they found out the hostage is dead and there are rogue elements, they should just turn back and report the findings to their superior so that they can decide whether to send reinforcements or not.
The Spec Op protagonists aren't good soldiers. They ignored direct orders from their superior multiple times!
In many ways, Japan's current problems are caused by US policy.
After WW2, instead of dismantling the powerful families in Japan (who are responsible for the war), they let them continue to wield power because of the Cold War. Many of the top politicians can be traced back to the big families during the feudal period.
At one point, the Japanese were going to vote the socialists into power but then the US started to use its influence again, building the electoral machine that is the LDP (as mentioned in the OP's article). And then they continued to be kept in power.
Japan used to have violent protests during the Cold War. After a lot of arrests, Japanese basically don't protest anymore.
There is no effective opposition to LDP in Japan right now. Young people don't vote and don't care because they know they can't change the status quo. It is disheartening.
If there is no legal way to play a game due to the game being too old, require obscure hardware, not sold in your region, etc.
In that case since the player had no way to give the developer money, might as well pirate it.
They don't "hate" chronological feeds.
The study say they are more likely to disengage, and that's probably because people got what they need from the chronological feed and log off to do other things....
Oh I definitely agree on that part. Even the F35 is a super bloated project. The US use to have multiple competitors for each weapon categories but industry consolidation (monopoly) made everything worse.
But not for large oranisations. And when some jobs depend on creating the shiniest powerpoint presentation in the world, MS Office is unlikely to go away for now.
Unlikely....MS Office is still the default for many enterprises today.
365 Office online version is not convenient.
OSX version is deliberately made worse to entice people to use Windows
Well, if the US doesn't need to protect their allies in Europe, Pacific, South China Sea, support Ukraine against invasion, prepare for invasion against Taiwan....Yeah, then it doesn't need that money. But we live in this world.
This means all governments around the world should impose similar laws so Facebook / Google will finally fxxking pay the news organisations they helped destroyed.
