  • I haven't dealt with a larger JS/Node Project in a while, but I like this approach to using TS features in JS.

  • Well, he kinda did already. Check out the recent videos about NATO's spending and the Turkish defence strategy. He talks multiple times about the effect of the dropping Lira on Turkish local procurement.

  • has made comments about “eating the rich” that have gotten a little too real

    Elaborate …?

  • Oh do I miss the days when Unixstickers was an independent company. Way better merch and offers. But oh well, can't argue with a Dollar...

  • Well, there is a difference between an Average-Joe asking for a fix and Big-Tech knocking on the door with a list of issues.

I can imagine that it is frustrating to see people making money off your voluntary labor and just reporting back with problems. Depending on how many times this has already happened, I can absolutely see even a levelheaded person eventually snapping. And given the remark in the comment, it has happened multiple times.

I checked their service, and they offer support for business customers. For a price, of course.

  • Conspiracy theory ahead: I think the whole mutiny was planned to involve atomic weapons, which would have given Wagner a waaaaay bigger bargaining chip.

Between the southern headquarters and Moscow is a nuclear storage site. To arm the warheads one needs a code which is only known to three people: The president, the minister of defence and the chief of the armed forces. It just so happened to be that the latter two where expected at the southern headquarters at the day of the mutiny. Except they were nowhere to be found, possibly tipped off by someone.

Now Wagner had a problem: They failed to capture the codes but couldn't simply back down without some form of deal. So the convoy to Moscow went ahead anyway to put pressure on the government.

They initially succeeded as in they secured an exit strategy via presidential pardon but lacking the nukes, there is no chance of any meaningful retaliation by Wagner. This means the pardon was easily "rescinded".

  • Just checking but hopefully these are not the passwords you are using, right?

  • Well, depending what your local network is, this could be a problem. I imagine cellphone networks i.e. could be affected.

  • I argue insurance in and of itself is no ponzi scheme. Working together is the basis of all civilisation. Trying to make a business out of a social service however ... that's rife for abuse, yes.

  • But it's the only points scrubs like myself are gonna get! D:

  • No, you don't own them. You have a licence for usage, which is revokable. One of the many problems within eaas (everything as a service).

  • Free speech as in "I want to insult everyone without consequences"? Dude, srsly: Get lost.

  • The patch went live on Thursday

  • On the one hand sure, that's an issue. On the other hand, who hasn't been in contact with asbestos in one way or the other. Asbestos has been banned for many use cases but it is still widely in circulation. It's a bit like asking for people who have never been exposed to smoking.

  • Yes and many do. I.e. Fox News is a prime example of a western propaganda outlet which IMHO shouldn't be taken seriously as a source of information.

  • Because it normalises the site as reputable source. Yes, there are most certainly some unbiased articles there, but at the end of the day it is still a propaganda tool. Russia uses the same playbook with RussiaToday: Tons of propaganda and some factual news sprinkled in between, so they can point to those and claim "Its not just propaganda".
