  • And their source is pulled from an NYT article, so they add absolutely nothing.

Indeed, Mr. Trump has often been in a foul mood the past few weeks. He has ranted about Ms. Harris. He has called her “nasty,” on “Fox & Friends,” and a “bitch,” repeatedly, in private, according to two people who heard the remark on different occasions.

  • When you close a bank account, make sure you print out all of your statements first. They'll keep your records, but have no obligation to give you those records when you stop holding an account there.

When I had to dispute a debt with a collector, I tried going to the bank and they wanted $8 per monthly statement. I knew I had made the payment but wasn't sure when because it was years prior, and could easily have spent more on those statements than the debt was for. Luckily the debt originator found proof of payment before it went any further, but lesson learned.

  • While queue grammatically works at the beginning of your sentence, if you spoke it aloud, a native English speaker would interpret the sentence as beginning with "cue".

ie, "This comment will trigger (cue) some Trump word salad..."

    vs

"After this comment, Trump will prepare a series (queue) of Trump word salad..."

  • Loved the movie. One question I had coming out of it though was this: What was Paradox's plan for Wade before Wade went off-script and went looking for a replacement Logan? He gave him a suit, some badass swords (and less impressive guns) and clearly had something in mind for Wade regarding the MCU, but I don't think they ever explicitly revealed what it was.

  • He was a 20 year old kid who knew he was seconds away from death, who had just scared off a cop who had come up the ladder after him. I'm not sympathetic for him, but I could understand him being jittery and missing. Paper and clays don't shoot back. It's not true practice.

  • I just had flashbacks to Dead State. It was a AA title written by one of the guys from Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines so I was watching it closely during development.

Suddenly, it went from EA to full release. I was surprised, but picked it up without reading many reviews.

I enjoyed the game and put maybe 15 hours into it, but then I had to move and had to pack up my PC for a few weeks. By the time I got settled and booted it up, it had gotten a massive patch which fixed a ton of bugs, filled in missing content like item descriptions and a bunch of other polish that would typically be done during pre-launch.

Meanwhile, one of the devs had gotten into a high profile pissing match with the community over accusations they had rushed it out the door. I normally try to sympathize with devs over a reactive community, but I couldn't help feel like I got punished for buying the game at launch and experiencing those relatively non-replayable opening hours in a non-optimal (Dead) state.

  • I'm surprised this graphic doesn't mention banning porn and jailing those who produce and distribute it (page 5). Even for non-porn consumers, when you remember that they're trying to lump non-explicit LGBT media in as porn (for example), that becomes a pretty dangerous stance.

  • Out of curiosity, how old are you? I hold up Scott Pilgrim as the Fast Times at Ridgemont High of my generation (older millennials). I could see it not hitting the same for older and newer gens.

Of course it's a perfectly valid opinion even if we are in the same gen. I'm sure Fast Times had its detractors, too
