  • Shouldn't be very hard to figure out from looking at a list of Pokémon games. RGBY = Red, Green, Blue, Yellow; GSC = Gold, Silver, Crystal; RSE = Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald; DPPt = Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, etc. etc.

  • I live in a central European country and DUI laws here apply to operating a vehicle on public roads. A wheelchair or lawnmower isn't a vehicle and on private property you are even allowed to drive a car drunk. A bicycle is a vehicle though.

  • I don't think there are any viable engines other than the three you mention. Other browsers than the three you mention are viable, I am typing this in LibreWolf, but they are all based on one of these three engines.

I recently tried Ladybird and it crashes e.g. when I try to access my Lemmy instance. Definitely not viable yet in 2025, but this doesn't mean it must remain so.

  • and in practice, if you want a website not to recognize you from one place to the next, you need to make it TECHNICALLY impossible for them to do that (depending on severity: private browsing, IP changing, Tor), not just legally declare you don't want them to

  • The great thing about the fediverse is that it is harder to censor: as long as you find one instance where you can publish some information, you can publish it.

The bad thing about the fediverse is that it is also harder to moderate: as long as a spammer or troll finds one instance from which they can send unwanted messages, they will be able to send them.
