  • always using a bag clip. Reusing the bag clip if it needs to be eaten soon (e.g. at a party) since it's less of a fuss to remove it.

  • not saying it's important, but if you tell a meat-lover to give up meat they will say no. Maybe it wasn't the best analogy...

  • Money mostly. It generates a lot of profit and it costs money to switch. In many of countries oil, gas, etc. are like a huge portion of their GDP. It's like trying to get people to eat less meat. It would be better and more environmentally friendly, but everyone is too dependent on meat.

  • Yeah it was mentioned in the github repo near the bottom I think. They really don't want you do use it as your only method of auth. I use it because it's convenient, not for its security.

p.s. howdy is WAY faster at recognising than Windows Hello and doesn't show up the stupid "looking for your face" pop up. Probably bc it isn't as secure (it can be fooled by a picture of your face)

  • LibreOffice's UI is fine on Linux, on Windows not so much. OnlyOffice is a good alternative for Windows

  • it became round, turned around, turned back around, and became square again.

  • This happened to me once and I had to redo my coursework over the weekend...now I use Fedora :D

  • woah, that's a lot of information. Atomic distros do sound pretty good. I might try one someday, but I've already setup Fedora Workstation and am very happy with it :D

  • i thought that was a hand with too many fingers. teeth make more sense.

  • Aside from this issue, Fedora has been great! Everything works as expected, UI is fast and snappy, and somehow the file system seems to be a bit faster too (read/write speeds are more consistent)

  • I have thought it might be because dual booting makes the drivers confused or soemrhing

  • my network controller is “Intel Corporation Raptor Lake PCH CNVi WiFi” (after running “lspci”, there doesn’t seem to be any other network-related ones besides that)

  • Yeah, my phone’s download speeds are fine (>100MB/s)
