  • What do you mean by the cost? Because you didn't want to wipe out your Windows OS? I've been running distros on my personal PC for 23 years now. Can't say I've ever spent money on it except for some cheap CDs. I think I even got distro cds for cheap that came with linux magazines.

  • Yeah, gamers will definitely benefit greatly when GamePass becomes the only way to access certain new releases and they start upping the monthly price. This is every service subscription ever. Once they have the market lead they'll be free to up price, offer shittier service etc.

  • If you get a wood filler get an epoxy based wood filler. You may need to order it online, I’ve had trouble finding it at the normal hardware stores.

It’ll last forever and be more durable than the wood itself. Might be overkill for an indoor fix, but it’s not any pricier. I’ve used it to repair wood rot on outdoor window fixtures and it works great.

Just a word of advice. It’s tempting to add a bunch because you’re going to sand it down level anyway. But it takes FOREVER to sand if you don’t have a sander so try to make it level as best you can while you’re applying it.

  • Your only enemy is yourself. Just do it. And if you fail it’ll still likely be worth it. I had a personal goal when I was younger (music, not podcast). I failed. It sucks. But I don’t regret for a second. I met a lot of amazing people along the way and still ended up with a lot things I’m very proud of. I also learned a ton about life.

You just have to do it. Buy in. Go all out. There’s zero way it can be worse than doing nothing at all right?

  • Wow this man is the prodigal son. I can’t believe no one has ever thought of this before.

What if we called each diagram section something like… a node? And the connections wires? Maybe you could even create groups with their own inputs and outputs!

If people had been making stuff like this in the 90s the programming landscape today would be wildly different.

  • Sorry I have to laugh at this. If you have to write a script for it even if the script is easy there’s no way I can consider it “not hard”. Not hard is just being able buy it like anything else.

I get what you’re saying though.
