  • I have no idea. For a business it kinda makes a bit of sense; as we don’t have to have a RODC exposed ; but for me Okta is a solution in search of a problem

Now, having years of work in it. Oh joy they’ve achieved bugger all.

  • ExecutiveChimp said look at the APIs. In the dark ages; yeah a browser was simpler when all it had to do was render html 1.0.
But mosaic 1.0 does not functionally run on today’s web.

All the things that modern browsers do; and how they run and interact with your computer; how many zero days have MS Apple and Google patched in the last year?

security Week says there were 7 zero days as of the end of November: and I didn’t bother to look at all the other patches.

    So yeah. Hard

  • While it is true that anyone could. A modern browser engine is complex AF and about on par with an OS.

I really want there to be more competition. I’m happy to see more people talking about how bad google is and switching back to FF

  • It’s “hard”.

I’m an os slut. I use whatever… daily driver is Mac, most of my work is RDP to windows servers

I’ve always got a Linux flavor or two running

We are not most people… not even close. “Most people “ love that their computer runs chrome - and that’s good enough.
It lets them facebook and do taxes.

Asking even the most basic lift. Install Firefox; try an ad blocker. Care about your privacy.

Nope. Make Netflix work is about as far as it gets.

I want to get Asahi running when I have some time to spare. I’ve only don’t run it as a daily driver because what I have works. And that’s fine.
