You can train your subconscious! Well, at least influence it's decisions. Videogames are a great example. Trained reaction/response. Repeated response to similar stimulus can create a trained subconscious response.

I was shocked because I took you at face value and thought maybe I got lucky with mine.

Then you started talking shit about your phone working for weeks at a time and and I thought, "Who has a smartphone that works for weeks at a time without charging?"

So I looked it up. You basically have a special use phone with a battery twice the size of everyone else's. Then you get on a thread talking about Graphene OS and say, "Pixel batteries sucks balls."

Then to try and support your argument, you pull up a review that just says it "doesn't quite live up to the standard"

So the worse thing you can say is the Pixel's batteries are average.

If you were really trying to be informative, you would have said something along the lines of, "There are phones that are designed to have much longer battery life. But oh yeah, almost every other feature will be worse."

For the record, I looked it up. The pixel falls in line with most other mainstream phones. Depending on the model it can be in the lower half, sometimes upper half, but always top ten.

Your phone seems to be specifically designed for ruggedness and battery life.

In fact of all the reviews I can find, about your phone they essentially say: it works ok as a phone but hey, I can throw it against a wall and it has awesome battery life.

So calling out the Pixel specifically and using the Oukitel as a metric is just straight up fuckery.

I disagree. I think that claiming something "sucks balls" because it will only last two days of normal use before dying, if you don't charge it all all, is absolutely ludicrous.

If I just text and leave my screen dim, I could get a whole week out of my phone. But that's not why I got a smart phone. I got a smart phone so I could use it, not see how long I could get the battery to last.

I've almost never had an issue. Like ever, unless I forget to set my phone on a charger when I went to bed. And even then, it would just be in the single digits by the end of the second night.

I think I've had my phone die on me twice since I've had it (Pixel 6 Pro).

I would be willing to pay an initial setup fee followed by some maintenance fee. I would expect the initial fee to be significant due to a custom setup/requirements. (I am talking just setup, not cost of hardware/ physical installation).

Unique home network with 2 managed switches.

Self hosted security DVR, automated computer backup, photo backup, network drive for document storage and then self hosting a Jellyfin server along with a torrent service.

(I am sweating just thinking about trying to set that up)

Storage will be a RAID setup where I can just upgrade by throwing a new drive into an open slot and replace (as necessary) existing drives by just swapping them out and server automatically handles the data management.

I would pay $10-20 a month for a maintenance fee after an initial setup fee.
