  • Sorry but what? If Hamas wants to return them, why did they take them in the first place?

  • Bibi made an especially terrible decision when making a coalition with the extreme nationalists.

  • adblocks make this world a better place

  • Hamas is not a product of Israel. It’s the product of the fact that palestinian governments refused numerous proposals and chose the way of fighting and inhumane.

Unfortunately, at this point of time I don't see any solution other than one side destroying the other. This will hurt both palestinians and israelis

  • How exactly? I don’t see how Israel attacks its own citizens. Sure, some views of today's government are extreme and I strongly disagree with them (especially with people around Itamar Ben-Gvir) but at the same time there is a considerable amount of arabs being normal Israeli citizens. Needless to say, comments of those far-right idiots do not help, just like terrorist attacks by Hamas do not.

Also don't forget that Israel was giving water and electricity to Gaza for a long time. Gaza's government was for 70 years unable to solve this problem. Instead of doing the best to improve their citizens' lives, they focused on destroying Israel, killing jews and building military facilities in the middle of inhibited areas.

  • Obviously there will be some civil cases if there is a war. But again, the war would not be the case if Hamas (which is btw considered a terrorist organization by both EU and other states), didn't start a war.

How exactly is israel attacking civilians living in Gaza? Did they start shooting people in Gaza for no reason?

Is it Israel or Hamas who purposefully uses civilians as a shield and builds buildings for the army in the middle of inhibited zones?

  • Despite the fact Gaza needs to be solved and terrorist organizations like Hamas need to be removed, a day for civilians to leave it so so so short.

  • Israel is not a terrorist state. Unlike Gaza and West bank :|

  • It’s just a simple thing with russia: they always support the right opposite of what USA supports even at the cost of supporting terrorists such as Hamas. That’s simply sad.

  • I would interpret it as there are literally terrorists against Israel. There are no excuses for supporting terrorism.

  • It has been recognized as palestine for a logn long time (since rome), though state was never present. Palestine as a state never existed and thoughts about creating a palestinian state began after Ww2

  • Not really. It’s definitely a bit tough to judge who did the dessert belong to. But historically, there was a point in time when jews were living in that area.

  • how many times has palestine been offered land for peace? Many - In 1948, 1967 and even later there were offers which mentioned connecting palestine and gaza. all the times, palestinians refused it.

Hence why I am under the impression that they are more responsible for this conflict.

  • Same here. My main account is on lemmynsfw and it’s down atm :/

  • having 1719 fediverse platforms won't help fediverse grow

  • Why would be 2 biggest instances be defedarating from each other?

This would be a terrible choice. For me it’s enough that some instances are down from time to time.

  • Looking forward to variations

  • Maybe focus solely on gestures?
