I can't complain about my financial situation (after 20 years of work) but I'm still breaking and looking at stuff on the streets. All that new stuff looks awful imo and I haven't got the time to build it all myself. So, still breakin' & lookin'.

Who has libre office, all fonts you can imagine plus a few hundred and doesn't care? Actually, I write my stuff in neovim, mostly, some special cases still need a word processor of some kind.
Bought a Xiaomi phone, rooted it, loving it, so cheap and still private enough. I'll just can't get my head around in spending almost a grand for a freaking phone.

My mother in law died after long sickness and she kinda connected phones, not the best, not the most expensive, but now I'm stuck with 8 phones, all ok for me, this one has that, and that one has this, I'm very confused what I should do, but on principle I'll never to buy a phones for 1300 € plus, that's about what a decent one would cost me these days, nope, never. The time will come. Only few at falling for the false promises of communism anymore and the fight against inhuman capitalism is gaining momentum, slowly but surely. I'm telling my daughter (20yo) when she is an old woman, she'll witness the starting 1qdownfall of it and the earliest beginning of the waking up process of mankind. Sadly it's painfully slow, mostly because the rich and powerful do ANYTHING to remain the status quo, but nothing and nobody can stop change, just the question, where it leads... There older I get, the more optimistic I become, that the good will prevail.
And now imagine your self-employed and you're pretty much in my universe. Customers aren't people, they are a measure of disturbance. Nevertheless I love my customers, I'm just built that way I guess.
Where should I start? I like to own my music, stream it from my server @home, I like to use a calculator, just because I like them. And I like to do things in a terminal, even when it takes 5x the time and a hand full of code. I like to connect things with cables instead of wireless, still faster and more secure, got a full cupboard of cables and adapters, I even collect movies and ebooks on my drives with the thought of "the day the internet brakes down I'll be the king here". Maybe it's because I AM old?! That kind of old, there was a time I spent money for a ringtone.
