  • This doesn't quite work because subscriptions are voluntary and taxes are anything but.

For non rich people I mean.

  • Can you elaborate? I was not aware.

  • Edge has been my favorite for awhile, but I have always wanted to look at something less intrusive. I just tried Brave out today because someone mentioned it stole the Edge vertical tab implementation, which is one of my must-have features from Edge. So far I'm liking it and it supports all the extensions I was using. I can't speak to the cite tools or collections as I didn't use them, but Brave seems to have an immersive reader mode called Speedreader though.

EDIT: Okay fine, I removed Brave after a day with all this information below. I would love to switch back to Firefox at some point so hopefully they steal the vertical tabs soon.

  • The functionality of auto hiding the tabs when not in use and being visible when hovered over is the functionality I need. I might be lazy, but it's what I am looking for. I've tried all the ones I could for Firefox and none replicated that functionality sadly. Outside of that, I also want to be able to create web apps, which Firefox also did not support the last I checked.

  • Ah nice! Well just installed and I will give it a try then. Would really like to see Firefox adopt it too. I've looked into addons for Firefox to accomplish it, but none of them are as good as Edge (and now Brave's) implementation.

  • I'm ready as soon as there is a copy of the vertical tab implementation from Edge. Until then, you'll have to pry Edge from my cold dead fingers.

  • Honestly it is so dystopian that we even have to have laws to require this kind of thing. It only makes sense to be able to replace failed parts instead of throwing out entire units or being required to have the manufacturer handle it.

In reality what happens is that devices with difficult or impossible to replace batteries end up getting thrown in the trash more often than anyone does anything else with them.

  • Sadly they only have two things they do with surplus here, either let you take it for free (but still keep track of it in inventory and you have to return it if you ever leave the company), or send them out for destruction. They don't sell anything as far as I know.

I plan on trying a few more things but I have a feeling in the end it's just not going to be useful and I'll end up taking it back to surplus. Maybe I can find an older model that is usable that does not have the MDM.

  • The real answer is nothing, assuming they already had an Instagram account. People are all up in arms, but the majority of 'signups' were just people clicking the activation button as opposed to creating a new account.

That said, I currently will praise anything that takes more users away from Twitter. Lesser of two evils and all that.

  • Broadbrand, brother sword to Frostbrand, freezer of souls.

  • Well it's Florida so he likely just clenched his nomination, and his election.

  • He defecated through a sunroof!

  • Yeah well, I will still blow into my NES games, no matter how many youtube videos and articles try to tell me that it's bad. It works and I've never had any ill effects and I've been doing it since the 80s.
