Notification History should be tabbed. It's absurd that I need to scroll down three quarters of a long page just to figure out what the latest notification was from.
I'm certainly rooting for Naveen and wishing him the best of luck. Hopefully he can make the apps his own and take them to new heights, it helps that they're all pretty much feature complete.
I hear you, kinda, but... Is it Mastodon's job to promote other services? Mastodon doesn't even implement ActivityPub to specification, so why would you expect them to hold hands and sing kumbaya?
I will say this though, a.gup.pe and chirp.social both should've probably switched and became Lemmy instances. As someone that follows !Firefox@Lemmy.World from my mastodon, I can tell you the user experience for the two kinds of groups wouldn't get worse, but only better. Especially with 0.19.x and the changes made to Markdown support. Users would be able to access the groups via both Mastodon and Lemmy and not be limited to the Mastodon UI seems a no brainer to me, especially since it's a drop in replacement.
Edit: I will add that dickheads are dickheads. That has nothing to do with how active somewhere is. Also it takes time for a community to grow. Things will go up and down, but the general direction remains that there's more users here than a year ago.
Sorry to hijack your meme thread, but would you mind teaching me the difference between the three and why your preference is what it is?
Also, kinda bonus question, the use cases I've seen for WebDAV in my daily life is for library and progress synchronization in Legado and Moon+ Reader, does that differ from using RSync etc?
Someone mentioned, either in this thread or another thread going outside and I found that amusing as in the same way that people used to come into pubs to sell pirate DVDs, they're now selling Android TV boxes and fire sticks for £100. You'd be surprised at what the layman knows.
Oh wow, I'm glad Bluetooth lost given that it's vastly inferior. I mean we're even starting to see wifi headphones now, soon Bluetooth will be relegated to legacy devices.
See that's the funny thing. It is probably ripped off of concept designs if anything, because given how long it takes Amazon to turn anything around, you can bet your house on them working on this for a while and it having been waylaid by bureaucracy.
Illegalities are a boon for everything they need. They push and accelerate development and that's never a bad thing. But the flipside of that is the negative stigma. It would be wonderful to have Anna's Archive without it being a thing for that reason. We always want the growth of the Fediverse and a giant project like Anna's Archive may be what we need to inspire more projects to join until such a point that there's a counterbalance to mastodon.
