Now that the dust has settled, what went wrong with saving 3rd party apps?

Am I the only one who, like...never sees any porn in their feeds?
the Republican party has been going further and further right in the past couple of years.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say you've never heard of Strom Thurmond?
Also, I would argue that memes like this are more designed for reddit style, low-effort upvote farming, than anything genuinely productive. This makes Lemmy worse and oversimplifies any conversation about American politics, with all of its complex and disparate, if nominally similar, but still competing ideologies, and how they shape its material composition and practical functioning. This all a fancy way of saying that the underlying sentiment of "Republicans are all Nazis and we don't need to understand them further than that" attempts to trivialize a complex problem and a complex set of ideological beliefs and leverages that oversimplification as banal clickbait. And it makes those that consume it dumber for having done so, potentially.
There's definitely a discussion to be had for how the very far right (people whose core political ideology is based in racial prejudice and literal palingenetic ultranationalism) latch onto the sole major conservative political party in the United States and how they, as a component voting block, are catered to, if not explicitly represented by, portions of that party, and even dog whistled to by the party as a whole. This post, though, comes across as straight liberal smugposting and is somewhere between completely useless and actively harmful.
My old person trait is that I think kids today are underinformed and overopinionated, especially when it causes them to hold opinions with which I disagree. All other times the kids are alright.
Unsurprising to see. Jigokuraku is a solid anime based on a solid, if not amazing, manga. If you're interested in a supernatural shonen battle anime, this one is one of the better ones. It's better than Jujutsu Kaisen (not that the bar for that is very high since JJK is not very good), is reasonably well paced, has a self-contained story, and ends after a reasonable amount of time. The one thing I don't care for in regards to the anime is pacing. The anime is fairly slow, with each chapter being one episode thereabouts. You could easily fit two full chapters into a given episode, though. Maybe cut out some parts of the manga from the anime, and then have the full series done with over the course of around 4 cours. It seems like every anime today tries to be a shot for shot adaptation of the source material. Which I know the fans generally like, but not everything necessarily translates that cleanly between mediums and the adaptation suffers because of it.
Except a huge number of people only ever use reddit on mobile. There are no ad blockers that can target specific advertisements inside of an app itself. You can do network wide advertisement blocking with things like pihole, but the people using reddit on mobile aren't the people setting up a network wide domain filter. I only ever used reddit on the desktop through old.reddit.com, but I could see the writing on the wall that they're going to get rid of that sooner rather than later.
