  • Laughable that you'd call everyone confidently ignorant while you get downvoted into oblivion. Try some humility. Maybe this rant was misplaced, and you're wrong for going off with it. There was no religious connotation implied with the original post. You misread. Get over it.

  • That would require Microsoft to do something like running a 1:1 local render of everything the player is doing in their sim, for everyone playing the game, at all times. And then they'd have to stream that video feed to the player and somehow make sure the elsewhere-rendered terrain is synced up perfectly with the player's local game. Doesn't really seem reasonable.

  • Better than ever. But I hate my job with a deep and burning passion, and I'm pretty deeply burnt out. So I'm not sure what to do. I'm worried that I won't be able to find anything that pays as well.

  • I've been using Linux desktop as a daily driver for a little under 10 years now and I'm still discovering ways I could be doing things better. There isn't some magic tutorial that somebody can give you here which will suddenly have you as competent with Linux as you are with Windows. Try things, break things, when things break, look into what you can do to fix them. Keep system snapshots and backups of your personal files so you don't have any data loss if things go wrong. And snapshots are useful for unfucking a system that you've just fucked.

Sorry if you don't want to hear this, but you kinda have to figure it out yourself. Thankfully, for specific issues and questions, there is a ton of material out there, and people are generally pretty happy to help.
