Had to nuke xdg-desktop-portal recently. AGAIN. Because they keep introducing a regression that causes all the GTK apps to run at a snails pace and totally ruins the desktop experience. I HATE xdg-desktop-portal. This has happened at least twice before. They can't seem to get their shit together. I wish I could just be rid of it entirely.

The air traffic around the city is already insane, weren't they already talking about trying to reduce it? I can't imagine this happens

It clicked at a young age, I've been good at it and enjoyed it since I was like 13. Found out it was profitable a little later and yeah, that's all it really took. Just the path of least resistance to be honest.

In my experience with these types of people, they more and more frequently shift conversation to them wanting their beliefs validated, because normal people have stopped engaging with them.

Honestly more a test for myself, wanted to see the difference on top of wanting to make the post lol. For the record I don't mean an identical post to this post, I mean I just posted my own post on equivalent reddit and Lemmy communities.

I made an identical post on Reddit as here because the community was larger on Reddit. The reddit post was at -1 in like 20 minutes and got no engagement. Here, it was voted up and I got a bunch of really nice engagement. Reddit's dead. I like the feeling of community here.

CEC is such a nightmare of a technology though. I have problems with it constantly to the point where it's just expected it won't work 50% of the time, and it's impossible to troubleshoot

It's just really sweet. Too sweet for me. The root flavor is hard to describe really, I can understand the toothpaste comparison, but I wouldn't say it tastes like toothpaste.
