i mean i enjoy the comics, and i think watching the show would be nice, but another avenue of this coming at me would be overkill for me. like listening to your favorite song too many times, then not being able to enjoy it.

it's rural everywhere

i was visiting relatives in texas, a small town outside of denton, when i was in college in the 90s over winter break. they hunt, fish, have guns, drink coors lite, and have big trucks. i overheard my uncles talking, one of them said something to the effect of 'we never had these problems when a democrat was in office'. kind of blew my mind at the time, but it also give me some hope. i'd like to think that there are more out there like that... that didn't get brainwashed and can see thru the bullshit that the GQP has become.
