  • Most of it isn't even covered in dirt. Should have named it Water, or at least Rock.

  • Potatoes, tomatoes and nightshade are all related species, yep. Tomato is the odd one out for not having poisonous fruit.

  • To clarify, "older than trees" doesn't mean older than currently living trees. It means older than the very first trees. As in, before plants figured out how to grow wood.

  • Do you work at Lumon, perhaps?

  • That's the thing with the Lord Ruler, he looks however old he wants to look

  • Ah, and the other hexbear users had been doing such a good job convincing me you aren't tankies. Way to shit all over their diligent work.

  • Scrolling through the thread, the keyword in "critical support" seems to be more "support" and less "critical".

Also, right now US is not the country that's launching drones to blow up the civilian houses in the city I live in, which, somehow, seems to be presented as a "humanitarian" move in that thread. So you might want to rethink how much evil you can allow your "lesser evil" to be.

  • About 5-7 years ago (hard to pin down the exact date) I've been called out by one of my close friends for being a toxic asshole in online games. And I really was, at the time. That was a much needed wake-up call. I like to think I'm better at games today than I was then in no small part because I've learned to keep my mental state under control and turn around even unfavorable matches.

  • Literally the very first comment in that thread I see is the instance admin speaking in support of russia for no other reason than it being opposed to the US.

  • When I was a kid, I ended in a hospital like that once. Had trouble swallowing pills on purpose ever since then, my throat muscles just clamp down (even when I try to wash it down with water).

  • The part where they ban people for being critical of it?

  • If you keep doing it, they call in the other Miyazaki

  • I don't mind just changing the date a 0 hours everywhere at once, personally. Though, there's also a thing Japan already does where they list time at 25:00, 26:00 and so on - meaning 1 AM, 2 AM, but tomorrow. I think that might be handy for when you want to list the time that would technically be tomorrow but still during the current daylight period.

  • Ah, the classic "only western countries can be imperialist"

  • Somehow they even support modern russia which is as far from communism as it's possible to be without being US

  • That is up to the people to decide. Have the date switch at 00:00 whenever that is, or switch it at whatever time is the middle of the night - I just want to be able to see the time written out and be able to tell how many hours from now that's happening without googling what flavor of time fuckery any specific time zone abbreviation means. I don't think changing dates is going to be more confusing than some countries having 15 minutes ahead of GMT time zones or screwing up everyone's circadian rhythms twice a year.
