  • basically point 2 in my powerpoint presentation x3

  • hii, dont worry. it happens. i didn't mean to come accross judgemental. i just want to create a little awareness.

    i wrote a long ass comment as a kind of guide on how to include everyone. if u want to check that out: https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/comment/4367955

  • this is a little difficult, as social awareness for nonbinary ppl is still developing and we especially dont have a lot of established formal or fancy ways to address/include them.

    a few small things i have learned/picked up over time:

    1. don't try to define all nonbinary identities in relation to the mainstream genders.

    example: ladies, gentlemen and everyone inbetween

    • --> ladies, gentlemen and people of all other identities
    • --> ladies, gentlemen and everyone else

    explanation: some nonbinary identities (genders or not) can be defined in relation to men and women but this is not true for all of them. something like "and inbetween" or "all around them" is therefore not fully inclusive and might even imply an underlying ignorance, which could make ppl feel unseen and misunderstood.

    1. try not to seperate into genders at all

    example: ladies, gentlemen and people of all other identities

    • --> everyone
    • --> people of all identities

    explanation: something like "ladies, gentlemen and everyone else" ends up reducing all nonbinary genders into one "everyone else" while the two mainstream genders get named directly. this implies that nonbinary identities are less important to the speaker. it's ofc impossible to name all identities individually, so when trying to address everyone, i would try to not seperate into genders at all.

    1. dont think of nonbinary identities as necessairily genders

    example: ladies, gentlemen and people of all other genders

    • --> ladies, gentlemen and people of all other identities
    • --> ladies, gentlement and non-binary folk

    explanation: the nonbinary umbrella does, next to nonbinary genders, also include people without a gender (agender). so if we try to address everyone by simply including all genders, we might still forget agender people.

    sowy for the wall of text. i went all out with formatting in the hope that that might make it more readable.

    this is all just my personal perspective and i pwobably didnt get everything right myself. i hope it can still help other ppl be more inclusive :3

  • sjdhfjd yes this. i was trying to be cute >lt;;

  • a- and ppl who aren't on the binary spectrum?🥺🥺

    (i feel the need to point out that non-binary does not necessairily mean "in between". i appreciate that u tried tho <3)

  • communism isnt susceptibil to abusive power. the marxist leninist transition state is.

    guess what, when a small group of ppl has full power over a state, ppl and economy "to transform it into a monyeless, stateless and classless society", they will make sure to create a system that favours themsleves instead and that their state never withers away.

  • didnt ask + go fuck urself + i type however the fuck i want uwu

    i think u might be seen as way less unlikeable if u stopped being such a tight assed bitch <3

    i'm an adult. any way i type is like an adult. if someone cant take me serious because of the way i type, thats their issue. i'm in the comment section of an online meme community not writing a work email. i can write however i want as long as its understandable.

  • in a lot of places you are legally obligated to tell cops ur name and show them ur passport or drivers license, when they ask. so if this is the case for u, u should do it (and then shut up and say nothing more without ur lawyer)

  • eyy, it loads for me on blahaj zone. still dont know what pokemon that is tho :<

  • "windows sucks" proceeds to write software for mac os🙃

  • that parent seems like a bitch. me no likey

  • the segregation really doesnt make sense anywhere

  • seems kinda concerning u would be drive on the sidewalk if it werent shit. the side walk is for pedastrians to who u pose a serious threat. over here ppl with e shooter always take the bike lane or road (like a bike). after all they are a lot closer to a bike than a pedestrian

  • i dont think the picture provides the context of that person being a trans woman and if anything, the lack of any further context means we just cant say anything beyond them being transfeminin.

    i dont want to come across as hostile. what u are doing here just seems to fit in our societies pattern of treating binary gender as default and considering everything else to require being stated explicitly. this is something that bothers me and i consider both harmful and ignoring reality, which is why i talk about it, when i see it.

    i am not accusing u of doing this on pupose, its ingrained in our society after all. i just hope i can make u think about this topic

    sowy for leaving a long ass, serious comment under a meme. ur transcription of it the reflects a bigger issue to me and as i said, thats something i talk about when i see it. so sowy, not sowy?

    thanku for reading this, if u did, and engaging with my ideas <3

  • heyy op, i know u meant well and this post does not include any actual ppl but i think its still important to say this.

    not every trans feminin person is a woman. pws dont assume gender

  • Rule

    Jump
  • tbf if they wanted to actually be humane, they would have to shut themselves down

  • post explicitly mentions trans men and trans women multiple times, but no nonbinary ppl, for no reason :<

    ig non-binary ppl dont exist irl

  • i just havent been hard enough on myself yet :3

  • i'm sure that person did great stuff and i'm not saying it didnt take them a lot of courage and strength to come out at the time they did but "first openly gay man in world history"? really? in all of documented human history, from all over the world, there has never been an openly gay person before 1870? c'mon
