So do the millions who don't meet the UNHRC definition of refugees. That's why there's a special definition of refugee that doesn't apply to anyone else anywhere in the world.

The definition of a refugee under the UNRWA mandate is also unique. It covers all descendants, without limit, of those deemed refugees in 1948. This helps explain why its caseload has increased from 750,000 to more than 5 million (and still growing).

It's going to remove MOST people from most jobs. The focus isn't on maintaining jobs, but instead getting rid of capitalism, setting up a UBI, and public ownership of all AI productivity gains taxed at 100%.

Then you say fuck your job and you animate what you want. IF, you still want to do that.

You are NOT alone in this boat snd neither are artists. Truck drivers, pilots, data analysts, most finance sector jobs, most copy writers, and on and on. Many large corporate farms these days run on tractors that go by GPS and drive themselves...

Bottom line, it's jobs that are in trouble, which is why capitalism can no longer be allowed to exist.

Even having Trump on the ballot is risking civil war or at least collapsing of the union. I imagine a fight over him lying that he won again will be enough of a spark in the powder room.

And remember, the problem has NEVER been Trump. He's just a stupid, fat, orange moron. The US is fucked bc Trump supporters exist and are tolerated.

The GOP gives aid and comfort to the enemies of the constitution and the country. They're not a legitimate party, or even citizens.

It's not fight harder... it's fight AT ALL. Not like Obama when he gave away his court pick and pretended he was powerless, causing Roe V Wade to be overturned. Nobody is more responsible than Obaam who did jack shit to fight.

He had the largest bully pulpit and didn't use it. Maybe an off comment here and there. He should have been on wvery night and used every available or questionable presidential power.

The dems are the party of Joe Manchin and Sinema. So desperate for power that they stand for NOTHING, and never wield it even when given to them.

And let's he honest, economically they're identical to the GOP. Biden was a linchpin of not being able to discharge student debt. LOL, you know the wrong he's fighting but won't own up to his role in creating?

Day 1 Biden could have canceled the student debt. Even if it was challenged, in court... worst case is after dragging it through the courts for years, you lose, and then you the same thing slightly differently and re-litigate it.

This is the norm from Bush and Trump years. And if dems pretend like there still are rules, even though their opponents don't follow them, then you get this--the collapse of the union and political violence virtually identical to the fall of the Weimar Republic.

Pretending there are norms are why Obama was a failure, things like no police reform, no immigration reform, no path to citizenship, gitmo never closed, and on and on. The only thing Obama got done was bring set up to cash in for millions and millions after his term. He's not gonna waste his time building homes for the poor, he's got $$$$ to make.

The point is that it's all theater to give you the feeling that there's a choice. But really there's no left party. There's no socialists and communists to vote for or even in the national discourse. Dems get my vote just bc they're not pro fascism. But honestly a vote for dems just leads to fascism slower. For all the surveillance acts approved under them and under Obama.

I want to be wrong and will raise a glass with you if I am. But I'm pretty sure the union is just going to collapse. Best to gear up for it and gope that from the ashes something without capitalists emerges.

Republicans are like hitting the gas to the right and fascism, and dems are like switching to neutral and coasting.

Companies need to learn that it’s a vocal minority that cares. Lots of us love AI art, hell I prefer it at times to traditional. Companies will definitely learn because they only care about $$$. The art is way cheaper to produce, and a lot of people don’t care.

Yes, I do care that there will be no jobs in the future, but the issue isn’t artists jobs—it’s ALL jobs. And that means capitalism has to go and UBI come back. Productivity produces leisure time, and the only reason it hasn’t is b/c of billionaires and near-billionaires thanks to capitalism. Anti-ai art people often just don’t get that the issue is specifically capitalism. Time to get rid of copyright, make all AI productivity 100% taxed, and all AI models owned by the public.

This was ABSOLUTELY the case in the fall of the Weimar Republic. One of the very notable things was that as political violence increased, punishment and severity of punishment of the left also dramatically increased. Meanwhile the fascists were often let off or given only a slap on the wrists. EXACTLY like Jan 6th.

Tolerance of the intolerant will get you, and everyone you loved killed. Never go easy on Nazis.

All AI should be FOSS and public domain, owned by the people, and all gains from its use taxed at 100%. It’s only because of the public that AI exists, through the schools, universities, NSF, grants, etc and all the other places that taxes have been poured into that created the advances upon which AI stands, and the AI critical research as well.

It’s why AI ultimately will be the death of capitalism, or the dawn of the endless war against the capitalists (literally, and physically).

AI will ultimately replace most jobs, capitalism can’t work without wage slave, or antique capitalism aka feudalism… so yeah. Gonna need to move towards UBI and more utopian, or just a miserable endless bloody awful war against the capitalists.

I was literally about to come in here and say it would be an interesting tangential conversation to talk about how FUCKED copyright laws are, and how relevant to the discussion it would be.

I'm a long-time fan of Boost and admittedly biased as I love its UI and UX. But Voyager is definitely a good one.

Def check out Boost. I've used both and can't find anything in sync to warrant the coat vs. Boost. That said, Boost is worth the cost for sure, and if Boost wasn't an option, I'd consider sync.

NOVA is one of the best places I've ever been. The only thing I don't miss is the traffic... and housing cost insanity.
