  • I don't own a car and walk or bike everywhere I need to. I buy clothes and things I need second hand and support local shops when it comes to food and drink. I live in a small apartment/flat and recycle everything I can.

I don't even care about the state of the world anymore. I've given up - the world is fucked. Can't do anything about it, and I'm doing everything I can - so I'll just carry on and live my life. Yeah, people will be fucked down the line, but what am I supposed to do more than what I'm already doing?

  • And it's fucking superglued in. You have to use a heat gun to even have a chance of removing it, and Valve have acknowledged they may change it in the future as right now it is admittedly ridiculous.

So yes but technically no. It is not immediately user serviceable.

  • Not entirely software, but the MiSTer FPGA project. Having accurate zero-lag hardware accurate versions of almost every console, many arcade games, PCs (Amiga, Commodore etc), and handheld up to and including the PlayStation in a box the size of a game boy is unreal.

Majority of the project is open source, and has been used for ports to the analogue pocket handheld, which I also have and use often

  • Indeed, and completely and utterly locked down and set up so everything you do is tracked by the government.

And you can't use anything else. It's the only OS you can use in the country, otherwise jail and torture I guess.

  • Nah

It's the official North Korean OS.

The operating system comes pre-installed with a number of applications that monitor its users. If a user tries to disable security functions, an error message will appear on the computer, or the operating system will crash and reboot. In addition, a watermarking tool integrated into the system marks all media content with the hard drive's serial number, allowing the North Korean authorities to trace the spread of files. The system also has hidden "anti-virus" software that is capable of removing censored files that are remotely stored by the North Korean secret service.

  • Nope, it's completely locked down by IT policy restrictions unfortunately.

I can use portable installs but last time I got found out I got a right bollocking!!

Financial org, so everything is very black and white unfortunately, although I did argue my way into having Notepad++

  • An emulator that "performs poorly"?! Maybe if your PC sucks/is out of date.

I completed TOTK via Yuzu at a near locked 60fps, native 4k auto-HDR with reshade. This was on my HDTV with a pro controller.

If that's poorly performing then I'm gandalf's aunt

Edit: I have TOTK on the switch too. It is absolutely no comparison - the switch is at the point now where you absolutely get a better experience on PC than on the switch. Switch 2 plz, Nintendo.
