  • So they see someone do that and they tend to think “that would teach the people I view as hurting me a lesson”.

I'd bet that works because it seems to be is a culture of solving problems with people you don't like by shooting said people.

Damn, that could perfectly be a short description of the US foreign policy.

  • I'd say is similar with any source control software. It's the same with me and Fossil. (And, granted, there are less plugins to support Fossil in IDEs; the one in Visual Studio Code/Codium does OK.)

    • If you're tech and history inclined, "Command Line Heroes" tells stories about people who transformed technology "from the command line up".
    • For stories about really nasty people (interspersed with some good people for the Christmas Episodes), "Behind the Bastards" is a good source. A story is usually split in two episodes, but for long ones it can be five or six.
    • For news about science but with intelligent discussion behind it, and several nice fun an intelligent sections, you can't beat The Skeptic Guide to the Universe. If anything, their only defect is that sometimes they're a little naive and technophilic.
  • I don’t think heritage should exist.

It would solve so many problems.

So, if you live in your parents' house and they die, you should be thrown at the street and all properties and assets should go to the state?

  • "Accept that you're not attractive for most people and stop looking for love in high school. It won't happen."

"Cultivate friendships as the most valuable and close relationships to aspire to. Romantic love can happen, but it's extremely unlikely. Search for your fulfillment elsewhere."
