No real surprise. Unfortunately for the US, most large scale agriculture is tied (perhaps indirectly) to the meat industry, even crops. We grow a lot of stuff just to feed livestock.
Interesting to read that, essentially, international industrial spying has existed for the entirety of "industrialized" times. Also, since Lowell did this prior to photography, what would folks have called his memory?
I ignored this excellent point. Definitely lots of folks who have street legal vehicles (or race in street legal circuits) that have to run gasoline and tune for that. Thanks for pointing it out š
Not to further fuel the learned terrorists, but race gas generally isn't gasoline, like your first statement. I don't think any racing orgs allow pure alcohol anymore in the US, but some related form or nitromethane. Anyway, none of this belongs in a regular car, either š¬
Fair point. My point was some of these places may cater to folks incapable of maintenance, although that certainly isn't limited to age. I would also think we wouldn't want to segregate people based on ability or age, but here we are š¤·
I was on a back country work trip about ten years ago, and everyone except one other person and myself got Norovirus. They were having profuse diarrhea and vomiting at the same time, while we all had to hike several miles to a vehicle. I can't see how anyone could leave home š¤¢
I work for the US gov't (in a very different capacity), and know folks who won't write anything down, and will only talk in person or maybe on the phone. They will send a message to meet in their office, or come to my room. I'm not even involved in sensitive stuff. Madness.
