  • haha don't know what to say 🐴

  • This is part of the issue tho, right? Satire becomes reality 🙃 it seems that side of things are not interested in fact checking.

  • I don't know, I work with horses a lot, and have for many years. This isn't surprising at all. They are intelligent. Like humans, they have a variety of intelligence, a spectrum. I think that any human that has spent time with them, and has the ability to reflect, knows this. That's why they challenge us and also why they can be such great resources.

I attached an image of riding (I think)

  • I don't like that "Trumpian" is a thing, but it is, and at this point in time, I appreciate her take. Vote.

  • That was pretty good! But it didn't get disseminated into the right wing news ecosystem. I don't thing Harris being in a debate on Fox news will, either.

  • I'm with you. I was on a plane in January and couldn't believe I was the only one.

  • Maybe doing something at Fox could work, but it won't be a debate. It could be entertainment. It will be a waste of time in this arrangement. I think.

  • It isn't really a station, but Amy Goodman as a moderator would be pretty great.

  • The biggest voting bloc in the US is the unmotivated non-voter who - believe it or not - is vastly liberal but disaffected to the process and the result.

I have no idea if this is true outside of possible Democrat-voters not always voting, but in my conservative area I have been seeing Trump flags come down and right-leaning folks say they may not vote. This is also a reason to push these things. I don't think all conservatives like this sort of talk, either. I agree: "YES, keep talking about this, keep motivating people." I haven't figured out how to get these folks to switch sides but I have figured out how to talk to them. Some of them are not happy.

  • “Their objections to very reasonable requirements — like annual inspections, having lit exit pathways, and making sure a facility director is in good standing — show their disregard for the women who walk through their doors,” said Kelsey Pritchard, director of state public affairs for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, a group opposed to abortion.

That's the problem with these regulations, they can easily sound good. However, these clinics likely already are meeting standards set up by the state, and likely cannot meet these new standards. It isn't about disregarding women on the part of the clinic.

  • Wow, thanks for sharing that! So much for my thought.... It makes yours more poignant though. Perhaps it is just a matter of obsession? Are the folks who obsess over firearms different than the folks who obsess over knives?

  • I suspect it is because knives are not included in the second amendment of the constitution. That is a pretty easy argument for people to use against gun regulation (whether or fair or not), but there is no such thing for knives.

  • How much does it take for journalists and other politicians to be able to call him a liar? This is incredible.

  • I agree with you, except that I am not comparing him to the other side right now, I am comparing him to other potential Vice Presidents. We really need single payer to be a main talking point.

  • I feel like this is the kind of attitude many folks were hoping would come from Biden, and I feel like it will be so much better (worse for Trump?) coming from anyone who is not a white man.

  • That's a fair point, but ACA is just such a low bar. Awful is probably too strong, but I would say his position on health care is poor.

  • Kelly's positions on things like insurance are awful, but perhaps because of these positions, he really is a great pick. The best choices are probably "too controversial." Even the mayor is centrist on some things, but folks will get hung up on something else... He has time to shine.
