  • So many people in the US complain that if we had a single-payer system, that wait times would be horrendous.

Well, here we are with the worst system in the world and still horrendous wait times.

  • I'd bet my left nut that games like Resident Evil aren't why mobile gaming makes so much money. It's those ridiculous F2P gem and city building games that have so many opportunities to buy coins that people get addicted.

  • I've always thought it was weird that there hasn't been a Hunger Games video game. Not to play out the teen movie storyline, but as the Battle Royale part.

Imagine creating a character using typical RPG elements (strength, endurance, speed, crafting, survival, etc.) with a limited number of points, the same number of points as everyone else. Then you're placed inside different large arenas that have environmental hazards for a Battle Royale survival that could last up to 30 minutes per game if you're good enough to make it to the end.

You have to survive against random encounters just like the gamemasters use in the books, dangerous animals, and you can get sponsorship drops like the COD kill streak rewards (healing items, tools, weapons). You could even make it through by not killing anyone if you're good enough at surviving the environment, but you'd better hope you don't end up in a fight.

I just think a game like that would be sick.

  • I didn't think so at all. The interface was simpler than any other app I've used. You just select a podcast and play it and it would go through the podcast episodes the correct way (oldest to newest).

I loved it's simplicity and I'm so mad at Google for killing it.

  • I absolutely feel the same way. I'm so pissed off at Google for this.

They've ruined my YouTube liked videos playlist because they stuck all my liked songs in there.

They keep pushing videos on me in YT Music.

They're pushing TikTokification bullcrap instead of better radio algorithms.

And the recent player redesign with YouTube comments and the sliding options is just awful.

What ever happened to having one app that does one thing really well? Why do we have to have two apps that do everything? YT Music and YT do basically the same thing, but it just makes the YT Music experience worse.

  • Because it's still a mobile game and there's no way it's a great experience trying to play it on such a small screen.

I honestly don't understand the smartphone gaming fad because of the screen size issue. Who actually plays games like this on their phone that wouldn't rather buy a dedicated steam deck or other device?

  • If only the Jan 6 protestors had rallied around a better cause, I'd bet a lot of people would have supported that.

Like had they gone to protest the fact that Congress is a bunch of corporate-bought, lazy, unproductive people who seize as much control for as long as possible, we might have gotten some real change.

But instead, they thought the election was fake and supported the worst president we've ever had. They basically wanted to install an authoritarian, which is worse than what we have now.

  • For the rumored extra $200 price tag, it's disappointing that they aren't including the better gorilla glass Victus 2, Qi2 charging, UWB, and UFS 4.0 on the Pixel 8.

At least include the more durable glass, Qi2, and UWB. This is going to make the phone pretty out of date just by the spring. Especially because of the tendency for Pixels to get much worse over time.

I'm a forever Android fan, but I'm getting jealous of the quality and consistency of iPhones. I just wish I could find that kind of hardware quality in something other than Samsung (because I can't stand their software).
