  • Please don't call things you don't like terrorism. Calls to boycott Target are not terrorism in the same way that calls to divest from Israeli companies are also not terrorism.

I don't want to live in the V For Vendetta universe where anything the people in power don't like is considered terrorism. I'm sure you don't either.

And before you attack my character and call me a sympathizer - no. I'm gay. These ppl are stupid for getting mad about pride. But it's not fucking terrorism.

  • The Bible did fuck me up as a kid.

But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.

    Matthew 5:28-5:29

Reading this as a super religious + horny 12 year old was terrifying. I felt extreme guilt for not maiming myself for a few years before I finally realized religion was bullshit.

  • I bought 2.5 years ago so its still pretty fresh. It was very scary but I knew it was the right lifestyle choice for me. I had lived in my city for 5 years at the time and felt pretty confident (still do) that I want to stay local long term. Just like in all American cities, rents were rising fast.

It felt like I was overpaying at the time because of how much housing prices had risen the 5 years before, but a few months after closing I felt relieved and validated when interest rates jumped to 6%.

can I possibly plan that far in advance?

The good news is you don't need to. You can do the math to discover how many years you need to own a property in your local area to break even against renting: https://www.nerdwallet.com/mortgages/rent-vs-buy-calculator

You can always sell a house you still have a mortgage on and use your equity to buy something else: https://www.zillow.com/learn/what-happens-when-you-sell-a-house-with-a-mortgage/ The downside to selling a house isn't the mortgage paperwork, its paying all the fees to brokers and banks to market the property and process the sale.

  • Getting woken up at 3am is their business. They need sleep to be healthy and work and their neighbors are the ones causing the problem. The viewpoint you're expressing is very selfish and antisocial.

  • When we’ve made statements like this one before, it’s included a pledge to keep making improvements, and while we are working on these updates, they haven’t happened at a speed or magnitude that is acceptable

I know nothing about this game, but even with no context, yikes. They basically openly admit they're just making the same toothless apology again in the opening paragraph. That's bold!
