like there's a part of the most scrutinized, debated piece of legislation in the last 50 years that just whoopsiedoodle forgot to do the thing that was the primary purpose of the bill. that was no mistake, that was american citizens being sold down the river.
when I needed a new PCP because I finally got insurance after a decade of just hoping nothing went too badly wrong, I ended up having to wait 8 months after 3 local practices weren't accepting new patients at all.
doctors only have 10 minutes in America, too. They need to see as many patients as possible and make as much money as possible for the practice. The difference is that in American that 10 minutes costs you 12-20 hours worth of work to pay for.
it didn't even go that far. Alito said "the court has rules that justices have to abide by". We said "What are they?" and now he's acting like a comic book villain.
people will pay in both cash and attention for the feeling that they know something that ThE NorMieS don't know. Especially when it comes to medicine, where people are desperate for treatments that a) work and b) are affordable. Once they're in the group, they get buckets of social approval for agreeing with and going beyond what the group already believes (this is how echo chambers form and radicalize), they get even more social approval for isolating themselves from the non-believers, and if they go against the grain of the group after they've isolated themselves they're completely alone. The presumption that everyone who falls for stuff like this is just an idiot is part of how it perpetuates.
not really, no. this seems like an early dev/bad documentation issue more than an inherent limitation. I ran into this when I was trying to build my own GPS tracker for running: the OS will force your app out of memory if you run it as a normal app, you have to register the app as a service in order for the OS to leave it running in memory when you're not actively using it. Even then, some OSes will also make you specifically give the app permission to remain running when the phone is locked or another app is on-screen. tldr - what they want to do is doable in a safe way, they just haven't done it.
Trump I believe is their perfect idiot. He's acting exactly how he has always acted, and there's just way too many times he's been super hype to admit to felonies on tape. If you want an example of playing stupid as a psyop, google George W Bush debating with Al Gore and doing wild shit like calling astronauts "spatial entrepreneurs", then google his debates with Ann Richards for the governorship of Texas. That man was playing stupid for the stupid.
Stop assuming they're stupid. They're not stupid. They're monsters, they know exactly what they're doing and they're doing it because they want people to suffer.
Came here to say this. How many times are we gonna watch one of them "accidentally" quote Hitler in a speech, or talk about the benefits of slavery, or talk about how they want to make women second-class citizens, then pretend that they didn't? They gathered under a banner at CPAC that said 'We are all domestic terrorists'. When someone tells you who they are, believe them.
it's just a power fantasy for scared little weiner-men who say things like "I haven't been in a fight in years because everyone loves me and thinks I'm great, but I could probably take 6 or 7 dudes if I had to" and "I wanted to join the marines, they could use a guy like me, but I'd beat the shit out of my drill sergeant the first time he got in my face".
Give Jason Aldean a dollar, and he'll make you feel like a big tough manly manny man man. It's funny because when push actually came to shove we have him on video pushing and shoving his way through the crowd to get away from the danger.
his other option is to mount no real defense at all. he's already in the trap.
