You're asking on Lemmy, so you're going to get a lot of privacy related answers. For usability, Cloudflare tunnels are a super easy and free way to setup and don't involve your family members having to VPN into your network with Tailscale or Wireguard. This is especially useful if they are streaming from a smart TV or media stick.
Is it the most privacy-friendly? No. You're giving up a little bit of that for convenience and lower maintenance. IMO for my threat model, it's worth it.
While there's nothing particularly wrong with putting everything through a vpn, you could use a qbittorrentvpn docker image which runs a wireguard client with a kill switch which the torrent client can tunnel through.
You can simplify it way down to Kodi + RD and have your own streaming service. This looks more like a hobby though to get every little thing just right.
The frog in boiling water is actually a complete myth. The frog jumps out when the water is too warm for it, it's not completely stupid.
If the price is 'too hot' for you, jump out. Deezer (or any other streaming service) isn't forcing you to stay subscribed.
Firefox is very good compared to a lot of available browsers on Android. I have a bug where I can still interact with the tab switcher when I am in the app switcher. This is so annoying so I've had to switch to Brave.
All prices seem to be going up around the board. I just got an email saying my Turkish Family Plan (via VPN) is increasing from TRY ₺59.99 to TRY ₺115.99. That's $3.29 to $6.36.
If you like syncing across devices, Bitwarden (paid) or Proton Pass. If you already use Bitwarden and don't like the idea of having passwords and 2FA in the same place, just make a second Bitwarden account.
If you were interested in trying another app, I love Waze and find its directions and navigation far superior to Google Maps (even though it's owned by Google, go figure).
If you don't mind trying a map app based on OSM, try Magic Earth. It has really good navigation for driving and you can even download large maps offline for a fraction of the storage it would take using Google or Apple.
You could try a search aggregator such as qbittorrent search or snowfl.com
